
Herman Beyerbach, son of the late John Beyerbach and Stella Elmore Beyerbach, was born on January 7, 1931 in Aid, Missouri, and departed this life on May 11, 2021 at New Madrid Living Center in New Madrid, Missouri, at the age of 90 years.
Mr. Beyerbach was a former mechanic and auto body repairman. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Dexter, Missouri, where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher, and he was a member of the National Guard. He was a former Captain for the Dexter Fire Department and a former Lead “Wagon Master” for Light for the Lost Cook Wagon.
On September 29, 1951 in Dexter, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Patty Lou Caldwell. Mrs. Beyerbach preceded him in death on January 4, 2020.
He is survived by two daughters, Kay Shelby and husband Terry of Sikeston, Missouri and Shelly Moore and husband Les of Bernie, Missouri; by his brother, Lenard Beyerbach of St. Louis, Missouri; by his sister, Nell Nelson of Dexter, Missouri; by four grandchildren, Andrew Shelby, Shannon Leggett, Ryan Moore, and Paige Riley; and by six great-grandchildren, Kale Leggett, Miles Leggett, Liam Leggett, Connor Shelby, Abby Shelby, and Luke Moore.
Other than by his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Lou Beyerbach; by three brothers, Eddie Beyerbach, Buster Beyerbach, and Charlie Beyerbach; and by three sisters, Helen Moore, Sylvia Beyerbach, and Ruby Thomas.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, May 14, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Gary Petty officiating. Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery.
