DHS Track and Field Senior Night Featuring Madelyn Haynes

Dexter, MO - The Dexter Bearcats held their first home track meet since 2016 and it was a special afternoon featuring the 2021 graduating seniors.

In 2017, the track was deemed unsafe for competition because of cracks in the surface. With the recent $15 million bond issued passed by voters in April of 2019 the Dexter School District created a new track at Charles Bland Stadium and created areas for triple and long jump, a pole vault runway and a javelin area.  The shot put and discus areas have also been updated.

Seniors and their families were honored.

Madelyn Haynes is the daughter of David and Carrie Haynes..

Madelyn has been a member of the Track team all four years.

After Madelyn graduates, she plans to attend Southeast Missouri State University - Cape Girardeau and major in Psychology.

Her most memorable moment at DHS is getting to annoy Carter Dorton and Gavin Cartwright every day at practice.
