DHS Track and Field Senior Night Featuring Jacob Medler

DHS Track and Field Senior Night Featuring Jacob Medler

Dexter, MO - The Dexter Bearcats held their first home track meet since 2016 and it was a special afternoon featuring the 2021 graduating seniors.

In 2017, the track was deemed unsafe for competition because of cracks in the surface. With the recent $15 million bond issued passed by voters in April of 2019 the Dexter School District created a new track at Charles Bland Stadium and created areas for triple and long jump, a pole vault runway and a javelin area.  The shot put and discus areas have also been updated.

Seniors and their families were honored.

Jacob Medler is the son of Ashlee and Ryan Medler.

Jacob has been a member of the Bearcat Wrestling team all four years, football team for three years and track for one year.

After Jacob graduates, he plans to attend the Missouri Welding Institute.

As a member of the track team, his most memorable moment at DHS is the long bus rides with the boys.
