2021 C4D1 Girls Basketball Tournament Seeds Released

New Madrid County Central girls basketball team sits at the top of the bracket for the upcoming MSHSAA Class 4, District 1 Tournament that begins on Saturday, February 27th.

Doniphan earned the #2 spot followed by #3 Dexter, #4 Kennett, and #5 Kelly.

First-round games will be Feb. 27, the semifinals will be Monday, March 1st and the Championship game is set for March 4th.

Saturday, Feb. 27 - Kelly at Kennett, 1 p.m.

Monday, March 1 winner of the Kennett/Kelly game at NMCC, 7 p.m.

Monday, March 1st Dexter at Doniphan, 7 p.m.

Thursday, March 4th - Championship, 7 p.m., at Kennett

Class 3, District 2 Girls Basketball Tournament Postponed to Monday, February 22, 2021

Class 3, District 2 Girls Basketball Tournament has a few changes and adjustments.  The first round games are postponed for Saturday, February 20th to Monday, February 22nd.

Woodland earned the #1 seed followed by #2 Scott City, #3 Chaffee, #4 Charleston, #5 East Prairie, and #6 Bloomfield.

The quarterfinal and semifinal games will be played at the higher seed location.  Admission is $5 per person.

The Championship game will be played at Bloomfield High School.  To gain entry for any district game, you must be on a Pass List or Admission List.

Contact your school to receive information on how to be placed on the Admission List.  The gym will be cleared and sanitized between the boys and girls district championships.

Monday, February 22nd:

6 p.m.  #4 Charleston vs #5 East Prairie at Charleston

6 p.m. #3 Chaffee vs #6 Bloomfield at Chaffee

Tuesday, February 23rd:

7 p.m. #1 Woodland vs winner of the Charleston/East Prairie game at Woodland

6 p.m. #2 Scott City vs winner of the Chaffee/Bloomfield game at Scott City

Class 3, District 2 Championship will be held at Bloomfield High School on Thursday, February 25th at 6 p.m.

#1 Charleston received a bye and will play the winner of the East Prairie/Chaffee game and it will be played at Charleston on Tuesday, February 23rd at 6 p.m.

The other semi-final game will be played at the higher seed at 6 p.m. also on the 23rd.

Championship will be Thursday, February 25th at 7:45 p.m. at Bloomfield High School.

Three Lady Cats Earn Medals in Wrestling

DeSoto, MO - Three Lady Bearcat wrestlers won medals on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the DeSoto Lady Dragons Wrestling Classic.

Julianna Rivera (11-1) won the 143 lb class, going 2-0. She pinned Holly Pritchett, of Sullivan, in 19 seconds and Kimahri Wilkins, of Sikeston, in 1:36.

Ami Marshall placed third at 159 lbs and Kennedy McCormick was third at 174 lbs.

Congratulations Lady Cats!!
