First State Community Bank of Sikeston and Acclaim Press, Inc. will present "A Historic Basketball Celebration" showcasing authors Erwin Porter and Chris Porter's book Bootheel Basketball: A Half Century of Hoops Supremacy,
This event features coaches and players from the past and is free to the public!
Each of the eight coaches have a 500+ winning record!
Books will also be available for sale.
DeSoto, MO - Three Lady Bearcat wrestlers won medals on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the DeSoto Lady Dragons Wrestling Classic.
Julianna Rivera (11-1) won the 143 lb class, going 2-0. She pinned Holly Pritchett, of Sullivan, in 19 seconds and Kimahri Wilkins, of Sikeston, in 1:36.
Ami Marshall placed third at 159 lbs and Kennedy McCormick was third at 174 lbs.

Bloomfield, MO - The updated brackets for the 2021 SCAA Tournament have been released this morning.
"Please note on Friday, we will just have two varsity consolation games, starting at 6:00. The original schedule was to play 3 games on Friday, but with Bloomfield's JV dropping out of the tournament on Monday, we will just have two varsity games on Friday," stated Bloomfield High School principal Jason Karnes.
Saturday - games will start at noon, however they will wait until games are finished on Friday night before they set that schedule. Please watch for updates on the ShowMe Times Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Woodland JV and Bell City JV earned a bye in the semifinal and will meet in the Consolation Final on Saturday, January 30th.
Bloomfield, MO - The 2021 Stoddard County Athletic Association (SCAA) Junior Varsity Boys Basketball Tournament seeds and times have been announced. All games will be held in the Bloomfield High School gym.
Bernie earned the top seed followed by #2 Advance, #3 Dexter, #4 Puxico, #5 Woodland, #6 Bell City and #7 Bloomfield. Richland does not have a JV team.
On Monday, January 25th Dexter JV will face Bell City JV at 5:30 p.m. Then Advance JV will play against Bloomfield JV at 8:30 p.m.
On Tuesday, January 26th Puxico JV will compete against Woodland JV at 6:30 p.m.
The Championship semifinals will be Thursday, January 28th, consolation semifinals will be Friday, January 29th and the trophy games will be on Saturday, January 30th. Times to be announced.
All fans must have an SCAA regular-season ticket to attend and will be allowed to go to only sessions in which their team is playing. Times for games will be announced once the pairings have been determined due to COVID-19.
Bloomfield, MO - The defending champion Dexter Bearcats earned the #1 seed for the 2021 Stoddard County Athletic Association (SCAA) Boys Basketball Tournament which begins on Monday, January 25th at Bloomfield High School.
Advance received the #2 seed followed by Bernie #3, Woodland #4, Richland #5, Puxico #6, Bell City #7 and Bloomfield #8.
Dexter will open the tournament against the Bloomfield Wildcats on Monday at 4 p.m. in the Bloomfield high school gym.
Advance #2 will face #7 Bell City at 7 p.m. on Monday.
On Tuesday, January 26th #4 Woodland will compete against #5 Richland at 5 p.m. and Bernie seeded #3 will play #6 Puxico at 8:00 p.m.
The Championship semifinals will be Thursday, January 28th. Consolation semifinals will be Friday, January 29th.
The Championship game, 3rd and 5th place games will be Saturday, January 30th. Times for games outside the first round will be announced once the pairings have been determined due to COVID-19.
All fans must have a SCAA regular-season ticket to attend and will be allowed to go to only the session in which their team is playing. For example, fans attending Monday's games may not go to Tuesday's games etc.
