Betty Ruth Larsen, daughter of the late Clarence Lawson and Velossie Gamel Lawson, was born on July 1, 1931 in Parma, Missouri, and departed this life on December 2, 2020 at Cypress Point Skilled Nursing in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 89 years.

Mrs. Larsen was a former employee of Southwestern Bell, working as an audit clerk and retiring after 33 years of service. She attended the First General Baptist Church in Puxico, Missouri and she was a member of the Stoddard County A.R.C.

On October 13, 1949, in Piggott, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Leon Larsen. Mr. Larsen preceded her in death on January 7, 2008.

She is survived by her son, Stephen Larsen and wife Kay of Bloomfield, by her grandson, Jeff Larsen and fiancé Stephanie Baker; and by two great-grandchildren, Shyann Larsen and Hunter Larsen.

Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Cook.

Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, December 4, 2020 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.

Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Chapel on Friday, December, 4, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Kenneth Lambert officiating.

Interment will follow in Harper Cemetery.
