
Marjean Ruth Mayer, daughter of the late Robert Swan MacDonald and Aline Elam MacDonald, was born on June 20, 1934, in Risco, Missouri, and received her heavenly healing in Dexter, Missouri, on October 18, 2020, at the age of 86 years.
Mrs. Mayer was a former secretary for Norman Harty Construction, Dr. Bob Riddle, and Monarch Feed Mills. She had also been a bookkeeper for Dexter Water District No. 4.
Marjean was a long-time and faithful member of First Baptist Church in Dexter where she taught in the children’s department and Vacation Bible School, sang in the choir, and was a member of the JOY Club and New Beginnings Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Stoddard County ARC and also a member and past president of the Stoddard County Republican Club. Marjean was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan who also delighted in playing Bridge.
On May 22, 1953, she was united in marriage to Richard Dean Mayer, at First Baptist Church in Dexter, Missouri. Mr. Mayer preceded her in death on March 23, 1997.
Marjean Mayer was a loving mother and MaMaw and certainly a friend to many. She is survived by her three devoted sons: Richard Dean Mayer Jr. and wife Susan from Oak Leaf, Texas, Robert Norman Mayer and wife Nancy of Dexter, and Kenneth Gene Mayer of Dexter. She is lovingly remembered by her five grandchildren: Jason Robert Mayer and wife Lauren of Dexter, Dustin Louis Mayer and wife Ashley of Dexter, Daniel Everett Mayer and wife Morgan from Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Rebecca June Mayer and Julianne Marie Mayer both from Nashville, Tennessee. She very much enjoyed her five great-grandchildren that live in Dexter: Meredith James Mayer, Lillian Marie Mayer, Jack Robert Mayer, Abigail Jean Mayer and Louis Anderson Mayer. She is also survived by her brother, Bruce MacDonald and wife Brenda from Williamsburg, Virginia.
Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Weber, and by two brothers, John David “JD” MacDonald and Robert “Bob” MacDonald.
Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church in Dexter on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted at First Baptist Church on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Mitch Grainger officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

Julie C. Chwarzinski Rybolt, 47 of Dexter, Missouri, formerly of Nashville, passed away suddenly at 4:33 p.m. on Monday, October 19, 2020 at her residence.
She was born on July 30, 1973 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Fred and Pamela Buttrey Chwarzinski.
She married Scott Rybolt on December 22, 1994 in Dexter, MO and they later divorced and he survives in Dexter, MO.
Also left to mourn her passing is her mother Pamela Chwarzinski of Nashville. 3 sons; David Alex Rybolt of Maplewood, MO, Sean Christopher and Benjamin Thomas Rybolt both at home. A brother Ryan Chwarzinski of St. Louis, MO and her mother in law Patricia Rybolt of Hallsville, MO. She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents and father in law Gary Rybolt.
Julie served as a teacher’s aide in the Puxico School District and was the Color Guard instructor for the Dexter High School marching band for 21 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Dexter where she served as church pianist and sang in the choir. She loved playing the piano, researching genealogy and spending time with family.
A private service will be held on Friday, October 30, 2020 at Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville with Rev. Mike Williams officiating.
Burial will follow in the Old St. Ann Catholic cemetery in Nashville. The service will be video streamed on the funeral home’s Facebook page at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30th.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.

Billie G. Cooper Sr., 81, of Dexter, Missouri, died Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau surrounded by his family and minister, Stan Dauck. Billie and his twin sister, Bettie Cooper Thurston, was born August 25, 1939 in Bernie, Missouri, to the parents of Lloyal R. Cooper and Dawsy M. Cooper.
He was a retired machine operator for the Federal-Mogul Corporation after serving 41 years making automotive pistons. He was also a veteran of the Missouri Army National Guard. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Bernie, Missouri, where he had also served as a deacon.
On December 25, 1964, he married Patricia A. Dunning, she resides of the home in Dexter. Other than his wife, he is survived by two sons, Billie G. Cooper Jr. and wife Aimee of Dexter and Timothy W. Cooper and wife Tanya of Sikeston; by his daughter, Melissa J. Culbertson and husband Reed of Dexter; and by five grandsons, Collin L. Cooper, Ross A. Culbertson, Justin D. Gordon, Lane J. Gordon and Garrison A. Meeks.
He is also survived by three brothers, Travis Cooper of Bernie, Ardie Cooper of Junction City, Kansas and Roger Cooper of Bernie; and by four sisters, Bettie Thurston of Bernie, Darlene McGowan of Bernie, Cora Nettie Coker of Republic and Janet Wood of Malden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyal R. Cooper and Dawsy M. Cooper; by two sisters, Geraldine Pyle and Gloriaetta Beaird; and by his brother, Rev. Don Cooper.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, October 22, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Chapel on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Stan Dauck officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.

James “Sonny” Hare son of the late Edgar Spencer Hare and Amelia Gertrude Dozier Hare was born on February 3, 1928 in Mississippi, and departed this life on October 15, 2020 at the Southeast Health of Cape Girardeau at the age of 92.
Mr. Hare was a Veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean War. He was the owner and operator of Hare Construction, where he worked as a bricklayer. He was a sought-after bricklayer by many contractors in Southeast, Missouri. Later in his life he enjoyed pointing out the different houses and businesses that he did the masonry work for. He started attending the Harvest Assembly of God church in Essex, Missouri, in 1959. He was a devout Christian man, who loved his family. He enjoyed working outside, especially gardening, mowing and splitting wood.
On April 28, 1950 he was united in marriage to Mary Doretta Wooley in Piggott, Arkansas. Mrs. Hare preceded him in death on June 28, 2012.
He is survived by one son, Mike Hare and his wife Pam of Bloomfield; by two daughters, Angela Malloy and husband James of Essex, Missouri and Regenia Williams and husband Danny of Essex, Missouri; by one brother, Eddie Hare of Wappapello, Missouri and by one sister, Charlie Mae Wood of Fulton, Mississippi; by nine grandchildren, Kim Sifford and husband Anthony, Tina Francis, Stacy Malloy, Rosanna Williams, Matt Malloy and wife Lauren, Eric Williams and wife Amy, Spencer Hare and wife Molly, Kirsten Williams and Mackenzie Williams; by twenty great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Guy Benson Hare, Cecil Hare, Edgar Hare and Winford Hare; and by two sisters, Inez Boone and Marie Young.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. James Malloy officiating.
Interment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with full military honors.

Jessy Steven Gott was born April 10, 1965 in Dudley, Missouri. He was the son of Eugene and Priscilla Gott. Steve passed from this life on October 13, 2020 at the age of 55. He was preceded in death by both of his parents.
Jessy Steven Gott was better known as Steve (Reaper) by has many friends and buddies. He will be remembered for the many escapades at the Gott farm with his friends. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially being pappy to his eight grandchildren. He loved to hunt and fish with his daughter Jessi and grandson Kyan.
He was united in marriage to Carmon Gosnell on September 19, 1999. They were blessed with two daughters. She survives of the home in Dexter, Missouri.
Also surviving are his daughters Brandi and husband Jay Jones of Puxico, Missouri and Jessica and fiancé Tyler Laws of Dexter, Missouri. He also leaves his eight grandchildren: Kyan, Kaysen, Karsen, Addysen, Abbygale (Boo), Layken, Ryker (Rick) and Kynlee (Dew Drop). Surviving are four sisters Betty Kroboth and Reta Churchill of Michigan, Juanita Holden and Sheila Gott of Dexter; three brothers Bobby Gott of Dexter, Dennis Gott of Aquilla and James Gott of Louisiana.
He is also survived by his mother and father-in-law Bob and Frankie Gosnell of Dexter and Carol Isnor and Billy Landers of Wappapello, three sisters-in-law Lora Beth (Charlie) Sandusky of Bloomfield, Bobbie (Kevin) Sutton of Morehouse, and Angie Gosnell (Blake Ayres) of Dexter; two brothers-in-law Randy (Diana) Barnes of Dexter and Steve (Julie) Barnes of Cape Girardeau. He leaves behind 33 nieces and nephews, 41 great nieces and nephews, and 12 great great nieces and nephews.
Steve was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
Services for Steve Gott will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, October 18, 2020, visitation will start at 12:30 p.m. and the funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Ray Rowland officiating.
