Weekday Houseparent/s for Stoddard County Children's Home is needed. 

Hired person/s would be required to live on property Monday-Friday, with separate living quarters provided for houseparent/s. 

Base Salary $40,000.00 annually.  Applicants can be married couple or single individual. 

All household members (spouse/children) that would live with on the property would be subject to background checks. 

Applicants must have a valid driver's license, with good driving record.  Must be at least 21 years of age, have a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency (GED). College Degree preferred.  Responsibilities include care of children and home, As well as coordinated with community partners in the county to assure needs of children are met.  Applicant must have verifiable work history, personal and employment references, all who would live on the property must be able to pass multiple background checks.

City of Bloomfield Elections - Filing Deadline Fast Approaching

City of Bloomfield Elections

Municipal Election

Filing Deadline for Candidates

Notice is hereby given to the residents of Bloomfield, Missouri that the City of Bloomfield calls a general municipal election to be held on April 07, 2020 between the hours of 6:00am and 7:00pm.

Eligible candidates may file with the City Clerk for the following offices:

One (1) Alderman North Ward for a term of two years.

One (1) Alderman South Ward for a term of two years.

Filing for city offices begin on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at 8:00am at the office of the City Clerk, located at 400 N. Prairie. Filing deadline will be Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 5:00pm. City Hall is open weekdays from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Turkey Trot 5K Run and Walk - Run Your Race Before You Stuff Your Face!

Bloomfield, Missouri - Run Your Race Before You Stuff Your Face Turkey Trot 5K Run and Walk is set for Thanksgiving morning!!

Bloomfield Turkey Trot 5K Run and Walk will be held on Thanksgiving morning, November 28th at the Bloomfield City Park. 

8 a.m. registration with the race start time set for 8:30 a.m.  Cost is $20 per person.  Medals will be awarded.

Everyone is welcome so wear your best turkey gear.

Wanted-Part Time Worker/s 

Needed mature responsible punctual adult to care for children & home; must have verifiable work history, personal and prior employment references; also, able to pass multiple background checks, and drug screenings.

Hours based on needs of children; but predominantly evenings/weekends although some limited day work on an as needed basis at times.

100-Mile Yard Sale Kicks Off This Week; Drivers Urged To Use Caution
Visitors and residents will be out in full force along Route 25 Memorial Day weekend in search of bargains at the 100-Mile Yard Sale, but MoDOT wants you to remember the greatest savings of the event could be a life.

“It’s a fun weekend that people look forward to each year,” says Traffic Engineer Craig Compas, “but we want people to remember that there’s more traffic and more congestion along Route 25 this weekend than any other and drivers need to keep that in mind.”

MoDOT will do its part to bring the safety message to the forefront.  Message boards will be in place along the route to alert drivers of the unusual traffic patterns and promote safe driving.

“We really want drivers to be alert—to be aware of their surroundings, to be aware of sudden stops and to look for pedestrian traffic,” Compas says.  “It’s a big event locally, and we want everyone to enjoy themselves and be as safe as possible.”
