Ethel Reatha Cravens of Parma, daughter of the late Daniel J. and Dora E. Howard Painter, was born in Hartville, Missouri on February 2, 1919, and passed away at the New Madrid Living Center in New Madrid on November 12, 2019, at the age of 100 years, 9 months and 10 days.
She had lived in Parma since 1937. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Parma.
On September 14, 1937, she married Floyd H. Cravens in Hartville, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2000.
Surviving are three sons, Danny Cravens of Parma, Billy Cravens of New Madrid, Junior Cravens of Auburn, Georgia; five daughters, Lola Steiger of Poplar Bluff, Thelma Knight of French Village, Missouri, Ruby Porter of New Madrid, Linda Lewis of Sikeston, Retta Murphy of Wappapello; 22 grandchildren; over 60 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert and James "Cotton" Cravens, four brothers and two sisters.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15, 2019, after 12:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Parma until time of services at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. G. L. Keene of New Madrid officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery in Bernie, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
