Robert “Bob” Alexander McRoy, 85 of Auburn, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at the Medical Center. Bob was a native of Bell City, Missouri and the son of the late Alex and Oma Mae McRoy.
He is also preceded in death by his late wife; Helen V. Roberts McRoy.
Bob was a veteran of the United States Army, a retired Forklift Driver for General Motors with over 25 years of service and a member of New Harmony Missionary Baptist Church. After retirement, Bob enjoyed small engine repair in his spare time.
Surviving children; Roger Keith McRoy of St. Louis Missouri, wife Marina, and Larry Michael McRoy of Russellville Kentucky. Five grandchildren; Bobbie jo Hulman, Tina Simmons, Roger Keith McRoy II , Stacey Hulman and Angel Hansen. 12 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren and one surviving sister, Mary Gilbee. He is also preceded in death by his son Richard Allen McRoy and 11 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2019 at J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Bowling Green Gardens.

Bonnie Sue Canoy, 48, was born February 23, 1971 in Dexter to Susie Moore of Puxico and the late James Ray Daniel Canoy of Dexter. She passed away on November 08, 2019 as the result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Park Hills, Missouri.
Bonnie had several hobbies that she enjoyed doing but her favorites included cooking, crafting, and gardening. She was an amazing cook and baker from her signature fried chicken to a beautiful wedding cake that left you wanting more. If you ever went to her house you would have seen all her beautiful plants she grew and tended to on a daily basis. She could take a plant that had been damaged and was dying and bring it back to life. She loved animals and would take in every stray animal that she came across. She was a caring and giving person and it showed in all she did. She was a Sunday School teacher for several years and had several careers during her lifetime; including, working as a nursing assistant at the local nursing home. More than anything she loved her family; especially her boys.
She is survived by her mother Susie Cross (John) of Puxico; two step-brothers Jon Cross (Christina) of Dexter and Chris Cross (Pam) of Puxico; half-sister Crystal Canoy of Dexter; her sons Joshua Rogers (Amanda) of Salem, IN; Christopher Rogers (Shelby) of Dexter; and Jordon Rogers (Cecelia) of Park Hills; as well as several other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father James Ray Daniel Canoy in 2006; two brothers, James Daniel Canoy and Daniel Ray Canoy; and an unborn child.
Services will be held at Morgan and Sifford Funeral Home in Puxico, Thursday, November 14, 2019. Visitation will be at noon and the funeral service at 2 pm officiated by Jerry Canoy with burial services at Fagan Cemetery. She died November 08, 2019 in Park Hills, Missouri.
Lester "Jimmy" Teets of Dexter, son of the late Lester LeRoy and Pearl Ann Arnett Teets, was born in Swinton, Missouri on January 17, 1930, passed away at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri on November 9, 2019, at the age of 89 years, 9 months and 23 days.
Jimmy had lived in the Dexter area most of his life. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bloomfield, and was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in combat during the Korean Conflict.
He was first married to Lois Brown on February 24, 1951, and to this union three children were born. She preceded him in death. On July 27, 2009, he was married to June Mallory Qualls Bowman in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, June Teets of Dexter; one son and wife, Brad & Sue Teets of Souix Falls, South Dakota; one daughter and husband, Kim & Rick Williams of Dexter; two stepsons, Dean Qualls of Destin, Florida; Carl Qualls of North Carolina; four grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many step great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; one half sister, Joan Griffaw of Cape Girardeau. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sheila Ann Teets in infancy; thirteen siblings and one stepson, David Qualls.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter until time of services at 1:00 p.m. with Gary Cooper officiating and Bill Palmer and Dean Gramlick assisting..
Interment will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with full military honors. Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
Paula Doublin, 60, of Allen Texas, formerly of Puxico, MO passed away November 1, 2019, in Allen Texas.
Paula was born on July 25, 1959, in Poplar Bluff Missouri, to Jack and Ruth Doublin of Puxico. Upon graduating from Southeast Missouri State University she moved to Texas and started her career with Southwestern Bell Telephone. During her time with them, she worked in Texas, Missouri, South Africa. Paula retired from AT & T in December 2017 after 35 years of service.
Paula is survived by her father, Jack Doublin of Puxico; her sister Dana (Mark) McCallister of Qulin, Missouri; and by the light of her life her nephew Ryan McCallister of Qulin, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her mother Ruth Doublin in November 11, 2017.
A memorial services will be held in the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home, in Puxico on Thursday November 14,2019 at 1:00 p.m. The Reverend Ray Placher lead the celebration.
Interment in the Puxico Cemetery will be held privately at a later date.

George Allan Frye of Dexter, son of the late George Sharpe and Myrtle Marie Northsworthy Frye, was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 14, 1954, and passed away at his recent home with his wife in Dexter, November 5, 2019, at the age of 65 years, 2 months and 22 days.
George had lived in Cumberland, Maryland before moving to Missouri in 2006. George enjoyed visiting with people and he worked as a brick layer for years.
On July 12, 1978 he married Suzanne Kay Greene in Detroit, Michigan.
Surviving are his wife, Suzanne Frye of Dexter; five sons, Ronald Allan Greene, Randy James Frye, David Nathaniel Frye, Joseph Michael Frye all of Dexter; Daniel Elijah Frye of Bloomfield; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother, Keith Myers of Florida; two sisters, Tracie Myers and Luanne Frye. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother John Wayne Frye.
Memorial service will be held at a later date, with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
