Bernadette Mary Teresa Fuwell, daughter of the late Leo Lucas and Rose Coones Lucas, was born on July 9, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois and departed this life on September 28, 2019 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 80 years.

Mrs. Fuwell was a homemaker and a resident of Bloomfield, Missouri. Her hobby was taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

On August 15, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, she was united in marriage to Buford Roy Fuwell, Sr.  Mr. Fuwell preceded her in death on May 19, 2009.

She is survived by two sons, Butch Fuwell and wife Jessie of Bloomfield, Raymond Fuwell and wife Tina of Bloomfield; by two daughters, Sheila Fuwell of Dexter and Cindy Morton and husband Tim of Bloomfield; by her step-son, Norman Bradshaw and wife Vicki of Malden; by her sister, Bunny Willard of Chicago, Illinois; by fourteen grandchildren; and by fifteen great-grandchildren.

Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Fuwell; by her daughter, Andrea Garris; by her brother Leo Lucas Jr. and by her granddaughter, Savannah Snider.

Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. 

Funeral services will then be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. James Malloy officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery.
