In Loving Memory of Lawrence Cole (Sugar Bear)
The Sunrise of Lawrence Cole was June 12, 1952 in Parma, Missouri. He was born to the late Leonard & Elsie Cole. Lawrence’s sunset was July 31, 2019.
At an early age he confessed his faith and accepted Christ as his personal savior, under the leadership of Rev. Stanford Ellis. He was a faithful member of New Mount Zion Baptist Church.
Lawrence worked at Purolator for several years and he also worked for Tyson.
Lawrence loved his family and friends. He leaves behind, to cherish their loving memories, three daughters, Shannon Davis and Crystal Davis, both of Memphis, Tennessee and Vicky Davis of St. Louis, Missouri; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson. He leaves two sisters, Martha McClure and husband Joe of Sikeston, Missouri and Donna Givens and husband ArtLee of Parma, Missouri; five brothers, Leonard Cole and wife Ruth of Dexter, Missouri, Clarence Cole and wife Paulette of Marion, Indiana, Larry Cole and Glen Cole, both of Essex, Missouri, and Norman Cole and wife Portia of Sikeston, Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.
Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ervin Cole and Eddie Cole.
Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Bruce Britton officiating.
Interment will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in Malden.
Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of all arrangements.
