Dexter, Missouri - T.S. Hill Middle School has announced their 2019 3rd Quarter Honor Roll students for 7th grade.  Students must maintain a B average to be on the Honor Roll each quarter.

Successful, lifelong learners set aside a time and a space every day to do their homework. Student who can manage their daily workload have a better chance of attaining academic success.

Bernie School Board of Education Elects New Officers; Approves Extra Duty Assignments

Bernie, Missouri - The Bernie School Board of Education met in regular session on Monday, April 8, 2019.

Board members David Mayberry and Zack Tanner were sworn into office.  Judy Zoll was elected president.  Denny Riddle was elected vice-president.  Dena Mouton was named secretary/treasurer.  Rhonda Shipman was named alternate secretary/treasurer.  Dena Mouton was named custodian of records and Dustin Hicks was named alternate custodian of records. 

The regular meeting time for the Board of Education was set for the second Monday of every month with the meetings to be held in the Central Office Board Room at 7 p.m.

The Board approved not increasing meal prices for the School Year 2019/20

Student trips were approved as follows:

Elementary Honor Roll to Discovery Parks-May 9 

DARE Trip to St Louis Cardinals Game – May 7 

Senior Trip to St. Louis-April  22

Math Field Day @ SEMO-April  11

Project Prom to Jonesboro, AR-April  27

State History Day to Columbia-April 27-28

Jr. Class Magazine Sale to St. Louis Cardinals Game-April 24 

Summer school was set to be held from May 20, through June 7, 2019.

The Board approved the Vocational Program Evaluation.

Bills were reviewed and approved.

During executive session the recipient of the Rutland Scholarship was selected.    

The Board accepted the resignations from Christy Griffin, HS Language Arts, Melanie Griffin, Speech Pathologist and Beth Slavings, Process Coordinator/504 Director/Homeless Coordinator.

The Board also approved resignations for Extra Duties as follows: Lindsey Norman, Sr. Beta Co-Sponsor, Cendyl McGowan, History Day Sponsor, and Amber Eaton, Scholar Bowl Sponsor.

The Board approved hiring Kelsie Lamunion, Elementary Paraprofessional, Jordan Ellsworth, 7-9 Social Studies, Alex Beaird, HS Language Arts Teacher, and Salvador Botsch, Substitute Teacher/Custodian.

Dexter, Missouri - The Dexter High School has named its candidates for prom King and Queen. Something new to DHS this year.

The winners will be crowned Saturday evening April 13th at the Dexter High School prom.
