In Memory of Michael Edmond Gisi
Michael Edmond Gisi son of the late Eugene Gisi and Mamie McWaters Gisi was born on January 26, 1960 in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on March 24, 2019 in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 59 years. 

Mr. Gisi had worked as a truck driver for Jim Gibson Trucking and Bootheel Petroleum. He was also part owner of Gisi Oil Co and Zero’s.  He was a member of the Dexter Elks Lodge, enjoyed spending time story-telling with friends, and was always ready to lend a helping hand when needed.  He enjoyed being outdoors, especially when it involved a fishing hole, riding horses and four wheelers. 

He is survived by two sisters, Janie Mouser (David) of Dexter, Penny Gisi of Dexter; by two nephews, Travis Miller and Geoff Mouser; by two nieces, Amy Simmons and Lindsay Moore; and by two honorary sons, Aaron Pixley and Arlen Pixley.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Susan Miller and Barbara Kay Gisi; by one bother-in-law, Gale Miller; by his step-mother, Norma Gisi; by his fiancé, Anna Ubelhor and her mother, Charlotta Ubelhor.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Greg Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in Taylor Cemetery near Essex, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Stoddard County Children’s Home, P.O. Box 164, Dexter, Missouri 63841 and 18 Fore Life, 705 Laurie Circle, Dexter, Missouri 63841. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
