Lillian Inez Cunningham, daughter of the late Dallas Winfield and Stella Odell Tindle, was born in Portageville, Missouri on November 18th, 1932, and passed away at the Ridgeview LIving Community in Malden, Missouri on February 15th, 2019 at the age of 86 years.

Mrs. Cunningham had lived in Parma, Missouri most of her life and she attended the Church of Christ in Parma as well.

On January 13th, 1954, she was married to Joe Henry Cunningham in Hernando, Mississippi. He preceded her in death on September 18th, 2009.

Surviving her, are her son Phillip Cunningham (Lynn), of New Madrid, Missouri. Two daughters, Vicki Cunningham-Wagner of Parma, Missouri, and DeDe Riddle (Denny) of Parma, Missouri. 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, one sister, Mary Norman (George) of DeSoto, Missouri and a host of other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Lisa Kay Hinds, her brother Warren David Tindle, and a sister Barbara Abigail Wilson.

Friends may call on Tuesday, February 19, 2019, from 10:00 am until time of services at 11:00 am at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri with Tim Bartlett of Parma, Missouri officiating.

Interment will follow in the Parma Cemetery in Parma, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

Gladys Naomia Cagle of Malden, daughter of the late Henry and Varinda Leonard Hatchel, was born in New Madrid County, Missouri on May 30, 1919, passed away at the Ridgeview Living Community in Malden on February 12, 2019, at the age of 99 years, 8 months and 13 days.

Gladys had lived in Parma all her life. She was member of the Parma General Baptist Church and had retired from the Brown Shoe Co.

On July 11, 1936, she married Roy James Cagle in Bloomfield, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 26, 1957.

Surviving are two daughters & husbands, Faye and Connie Glover of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Dottie and James Rackley of Winfield, Missouri; three grandchildren and spouses, Misty and Shane Petterson of Scott City, Missouri, Ricky and Christine Rackley of Folley, Missouri, Roger and Cheryl Rackley of Winfield, Missouri; eleven great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren with one on the way. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother, Ernest Hatchel.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 after 12:00 p.m, until time of services at 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

James David "Jimmy" Chaffin, age 44, died February 12, 2019 at his home in Sikeston.

He was born October 14, 1974 in Dexter, Missouri, the son of Jackie and Carolyn (Matney) Hays Sr. of Morehouse, Missouri and the late James David Chaffin Sr.

Jimmy was a member of First Baptist Church of Morehouse and had worked as a welder.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by three sons, James David Chaffin III of Benton, Missouri, Trevor Chaffin stationed with the U.S. Marines in Yuma, Arizona, and Tyler Chaffin of Jackson, Missouri; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Jackie & Heather Hays Jr. of Morehouse, David Chaffin of Dover, Arkansas, and Stanley Clark Jr. of Vanduser, Missouri; one sister, Misty Chaffin-McCabe of Dover, Arkansas; and his stepmother, Donna Howell of Dover, Arkansas.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert & Luzell Matney; paternal grandmother, Mary Hays; and paternal grandfather, Samuel Chaffin.

Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 15, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery at Dexter, Missouri.

Ralph Eugene Hessling, Jr., son of the late Ralph Eugene Hessling, Sr. and Freddie Pearl Lucy Hessling was born on December 21, 1938 in Canalou, Missouri and departed this life on February 12, 2019 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston at the age of 80 years.

Mr. Hessling owned and operated his own business, R & G Hessling Construction Company and worked previously for R. Clinton Construction Company in Sikeston.  He was a member of the First General Baptist Church of Dexter and a former member of the Bloomfield Masonic Lodge #153. He was a resident of Dexter.

On February 4, 1961, he was united in marriage to Julia Ann Bell in Shawnee Town, Illinois.  Mrs. Hessling survives of the home in Dexter.

Survivors include: one daughter, Pamela Ann Van Bevern of Belleville, Illinois and husband Alan P. Van Bevern; three brothers, Ronnie Ray Hessling of Dexter, Everett Lee Hessling of Dexter and Gary Wayne Hessling of Dexter; two grandchildren, Joshua Van Bevern and Kyle Van Bevern and by many other relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Gerald Lynn Hessling and one sister, Vonda Jean Hessling.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, February 15, 2019 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. 

Funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 am in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Saturday, February 16, 2019. 

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
