In Memory of Yvonne Farmer Wood Taylor
Yvonne Farmer Wood Taylor, 84, of Wappapello, Mo passed away Wednesday, February 06, 2019 at her home in Wappapello.

Mrs. Taylor was born August 27, 1934 in Dexter, Mo to the late Charles Roscoe & Lucy Ruggles Farmer.

She was of Baptist faith and attended New Life Baptist Church in Wappapello.

 Over the years she worked at different factories in the Bloomfield and Dexter area as well as a cook in a restaurant. She was a licensed hair stylist and had worked in various salons in the Bloomfield and Dexter area and eventually owned and operated her own.   After retirement “Grandma Von” enjoyed visiting family, fishing, growing her flowers and spending time daily being entertained by her great- grandchildren whom she was very proud of.

On September 28, 1994 she married Bruce Wayne Taylor in Piggott, Arkansas. He survives.

Other survivors include one brother, Allen Farmer and wife Mary of Dexter; one son, David Wood and wife Judy of Wappapello; one daughter, Melinda Jennings and husband Rodney of Dexter;  three step-children, Ty, Chad and Becky Taylor of Phoenix, Arizona; seven Grandchildren, Matthew Wood and wife LaCinda of Wappapello, Jason Wood and wife Bobbie of Wappapello; Christopher Fox of Atlanta, Ga; Rodney Jennings, Jr, Aaron Wood, Brady Wood and Eric Wood all of Dexter; four Great Grandchildren, Ruger Moit, Jonah and Colby Wood and Jemma Wood all of Wappapello.

She was preceded in death by one son; Armand Wood; her children’s father Max T. Wood; six brothers, Charles, Raymond, Bob, Jim, Ernest and Earl Farmer and six sisters, Lawanda Farmer, Ruth Elledge, Lavella Gold, Hortense Davis, Roxene Gaines, and Frankie Kinder.

Services will be at the Rainey Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Feb 7th with funeral services being held Feb 8th at 2pm with Rev Steve Mayo and Rev George Howell officiating. Burial will be in Wappapello Cemetery.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter in charge of all arrangements.
