In Memory of Vivian Lee McCarty
Vivian Lee McCarty, daughter of the late Joseph Y. Taylor and Nellie Hicks Taylor, was born on July 10,1920 in Bell City, Missouri and departed this life on December 22, 2018 at the Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 98 years.

Mrs. McCarty worked for Elder Manufacturing and was a clerk for Ben Franklin.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Dexter, the Order of the Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary.

On April 21, 1943, she was united in marriage to Henry McCarty in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.  Mr. McCarty preceded her in death on December 12, 2013.

Survivors include one son, Gordon McCarty and wife Cynthia of Maitland, Florida; one daughter, Linda Godfrey and husband Lawrence of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; by four grandchildren, Lori Godfrey, Wendy Wiseman and husband David, Dax McCarty and wife Jen, and Dustin McCarty; and by one great-granddaughter, Sarah Wiseman.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Glenn Taylor and Cornell Taylor; and by one sister, Virginia White.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. 

Funeral services will then be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. 

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

In Memory of Kurt Lindale Young
Kurt Lindale Young, 36, of Fayetteville, Arkansas left this world Monday December 24, 2018. He was the son of Kelly and Kim Young and was born November 21, 1982 in Dexter, Missouri. 

He graduated from Bentonville High School in 2001 and was passionate about basketball and music. Kurt was a self-taught guitar and bass player. He also had a passion for food.

Kurt and his wife Christy moved to St. Louis in 2010 while he attended Le Cordon Bleu culinary school. He graduated as a chef in 2011. Kurt worked at Mike Shannon’s steak house, Stadium at Lumiere Casino and BC’s kitchen prior to moving back home to Fayetteville, Arkansas to become owner and Chef of Baller food truck. He had a great passion for the University of Missouri. Kurt truly bled black and gold through and through. MIZ-ZOU!

He is survived by his wife Christy Young; two children, Curren Lindale, and Cali Mae of Fayetteville, Arkansas; his parents Kelly and Kim Young of Fayetteville, Arkansas; One brother Kyle Young, his wife Krysta and son Parson of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; maternal grandparents Gary and Norma Crane of Osage Beach, Missouri; paternal grandmother Peggy Barks of Dexter, Missouri.  He is also survived by two aunts Kelly Richardson and Donna Warren as well as two uncles Kenny Young and Tim Young and many cousins, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather Dale Young and step-grandfather Delmer Barks. 

Visitation will be held at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers, Arkansas on Thursday January 3, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Visitation will be casual dress and Mizzou black and gold would be appreciated in honor of Kurt’s love for Mizzou. 

Funeral services will then be conducted at Rollins Funeral Home on Friday January 4, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.  Kurt will be laid to rest in Dexter, Missouri.

Graveside services will be conducted on January 5, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Immediately following the graveside service, visitation and a reception for family and friends will be held at the Lacey Center, 13 N Walnut in Dexter, Missouri.

In Memory of Delbert Lynn Jones
Delbert Lynn Jones, 62 of Greenville died December 21, 2018 at his residence. 

He was born October 15, 1957 in Poplar Bluff to Marvin and Della Jones. 

He is survived by his mother, Della Jones of Greenville, Missouri; two sons Quincy Jones (Ashley) and Zachary Jones; One brother, Jim Jones (Portia) and one sister, Judy Link (George) and two grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Jones. 

Visitation was held at 11:00 AM Monday December 24, 2018 at the Shiloh Baptist Church in Shook, Missouri with the funeral service following at noon also at the church.

Burial was in the Shilo Cemetery near Shak Missouri with the funeral service to follow at noon also at the church.

In Memory of Eva Lois McNeil

Eva Lois McNeil, age 81, of Bloomfield, MO, died Monday, December 24, 2018 at The Manor, in Poplar Bluff, MO.

Mrs. McNeil was born October 20, 1937 in Lilbourn, MO, daughter of the late Braxton and Loedith Chisholm. After working 20 years at Purlator in Dexter she worked in home health care and loved her clients.

She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers.

On March 03, 1957 she married Robert McNeil. He survives.

Also surviving are one daughter: Kim Knodell and husband Mike of Fisk; one son:   Klayton McNeil and wife Pam of Bloomfield: one daughter-in-law: Karri McNeil of Eldon, MO: two sisters: Bonnie Kemper of Independence, MO, and Ann Leathers of Dexter,; one brother: Steve Shipley of Sikeston, MO; 11 grandchildren: Tara and David Tompkins of Mt. Pleasant, TX, Amber and Daniel Tomkpins of Qulin, Derik McNeil of Oklahoma, Jacob McNeil and Gage McNeil both of Bloomfield, Tyllia and Brian Pennington of Dexter, Micha, Eva and Braden McNeil all of Eldon, MO., David Cline of California and, Jessica Howard of Washington and eight great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her step-father: Ralph Shipley; one son: Kevin McNeil; one brother: Jerry Chisholm and one sister: Elizabeth Tyson.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk.

Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Billy McAtee officiating.

In Memory of David Chris Seabaugh
David Chris Seabaugh, son of the late David Seabaugh and Carolyn Cook Eldridge, was born on April 14, 1968 in St. Louis Missouri and departed this life on December 24, 2018 at his residence in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 50 years.

Mr. Seabaugh worked as a carpenter and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

He is survived by two aunts, Francis Rossi and Kathy Cook; by two special children Billy Busse and Shaelyn Busse; and many cousins and friends.

Friends may call at the Lighthouse Church on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. 

Memorial services will then be conducted at the Lighthouse Church on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. with the Rev. Tim Russell officiating.
