In Memory of Jimmie G. Lawrence

Jimmie G. Lawrence, son of the late John H. Lawrence and Chloe Robling Lawrence was born on June 23, 1934 in Gray Ridge, Missouri and departed this life on January 1, 2019 at the Missouri State Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 84 years.
Mr. Lawrence was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He served as Superintendent for the Richland School District for many years and was a respected member of the Community. He enjoyed hunting, working in his yard and after his retirement in education, working with his son at the North Ridge Veterinary Clinic in Sikeston.
On March 27, 1955, he was united in marriage to Linda Faye Parks in Gray Ridge, Missouri. Linda preceded him in death on August 25, 2011.
Survivors include: one son, Jeffery H. Lawrence and wife Dianne of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; one sister, June Mathis and husband Vernon of Dexter, Missouri; by two grandchildren, Kelsey Dianne Gibson and husband Dane and Sarah Elliott Lawrence; by many other relatives and friends.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 4:30 PM.
Funeral services will then be conducted on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Greg Mathis officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
