Jefferson City, Missouri - The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is accepting online applications from June 25 through Aug. 5 for its next class of conservation agent trainees.
To apply -- and for more information including salary range, duties and responsibilities, degree requirements, qualifications, and special-ability requirements -- visit the MDC website directly at short.mdc.mo.gov/ZcS. Applicants can also go to the MDC homepage at mdc.mo.gov and search “careers.” Then click on Job Openings on the Careers page.
Selected candidates will undergo 26 weeks of intense training in all facets of law enforcement and resource management. Those who make the grade will receive county assignments and become the face of conservation in their assigned communities – enforcing the Wildlife Code of Missouri and helping the public with issues such as nuisance wildlife and land management.

Lawless Named Director of Human Resources

Saint Francis Healthcare System is pleased to introduce Kristan Lawless, MPA, as Director of Human Resources.
In her new role, Lawless will be responsible for all functions of the Healthcare System’s Human Resource Department, including talent acquisition, retention and fostering employee relationships in a manner consistent with the goals and principles of Saint Francis Healthcare System.
Before joining Saint Francis, Lawless served as Director of Human Resources at Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson, Iowa, and as Human Resource Manager at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa. She has also worked in human resource positions at Mercy Health Systems, Aurora University and Pharmaceutical Systems, Inc., among others.
Lawless earned her Master of Public Administration Degree at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Before that, she earned her Bachelor of Human Resource Management at Judson University in Elgin, Illinois.
She is a member of the Society for Human Resources Professional Management, American Society Hospital Human Resources Association and Iowa Society Hospital Human Relations Association.

Cape Girardeau, Missouri - Saint Francis Healthcare System is pleased to introduce H. William Stites III, MD, FACC, as a Medical Partner and cardiologist specializing in electrophysiology at Cape Cardiology Group.
He joins Joseph Dwyer, MD, FACC, FSCAI; Steven Joggerst, MD; William Lafoe, MD, FACC, FSCAI; Sandra McCearly, MD; Duc Nguyen, DO; William Nienaber, MD; Rebecca Smith, MD, FACC, FASE; Clifford Talbert Jr. MD, FACC; Jennifer Cotner, RN, AGACNP-BC; Megan Collier, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC; Laura Morrow, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC; Angela Selzer, RN, AGACNP-BC; Joshua Donis, MD, FACC; Amanda Hamm, MSN, RN, APRN, FNP-BC; Bernadette Hutson, MSN, RN, ACNS-BC, ACCNS-AG; Jena Brown, MSN, RN, ACNS-BC, CCNS, and Lacie Wilkins, RN, FNP-C.

Dexter, Missouri - On June 28, 2018 the Dexter Police Department activated the Stoddard County Major Case Squad regarding a suspicious death at 1117 N. Mulberry in Dexter. The deceased was identified as Jimmy Lynn Casey, 66, Y/O white/male of Dexter, Missouri.
An autopsy is scheduled for Friday, June 29, 2018. If you have any information regarding the investigation please contact Capt. Trout or Lt Mills at the Dexter Police Department.
"More information will be released once the autopsy is performed," commented Chief Trevor Pulley. "We will send out another press release."

NOW HIRING! Position for 4-H Youth Development Program Associate in Stoddard County.
Twenty (20) hours per week. Required qualifications: An Associates' Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and some experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
The 4-H Youth Program Associate will assist in the planning, management and support of 4-H Youth Development programs in assigned geographic area, under the guidance and supervision of the 4-H Youth Development Specialist.
Starting salary $12.04 per hour. Training provided. Must have transportation. Mileage paid.
