Dexter T.S. Hill Middle School - This listing of T.S. Hill Middle School activities is a service offered by the ShowMe Times, working in partnership with C.A. Counts, Superintendent, Scott Kruse, Middle School Principal and the Dexter Public Schools for your convenience.

We hope you will mark your calendar and we encourage everyone to support our local students and their activities.  The education and growth of young people in our community is the key to everyone's future!

T.S. Hill Middle School Homecoming Spirit Week!

Dexter, Missouri - The Dexter Middle School will participate in Homecoming Spirit Days this week.  Winter Homecoming is Friday night against the New Madrid County Central Eagles at the Bearcat Event Center.

Here are the following dress-up days:

Tuesday, January 16th Headed to the Top Trip so no dress-up day.

Wednesday, January 17th Wacky Wednesday so wear mismatched, crazy, unusual, but appropriate clothing.

Thursday, January 18th 60's, 70's, and 80's Rock n Roll Day!  

Friday, January 19th is Formal Friday, dress for success and beat the Eagles!

Dexter, Missouri - Central Elementary is getting into the Winter Homecoming spirit this week with special "Dress-Up" Days!

Monday, January 15th - School will be out for Martin Luther King Holiday

Tuesday, January 16th - Stay Cozy Tuesday wear your PJ's to school.

Wednesday, January 17th - Sporty Wednesday and wear your favorite sports team themed shirt or favorite sports team's colors.

Thursday, January 18th - Crazy about Characters.Wear your favorite Character t-shirt.

Friday, January 19th - Wear Red and Black Spirit Day.  Support the Dexter Bearcats at 6 p.m. at the Bearcat Event Center!

Bloomfield School Board Meeting Minutes - January 8, 2018

Bloomfield, Missouri - The Bloomfield Board of Education met on Monday, January 8, 2018.

Sr Beta Club students Noah Hester, Parker Heaton, Dalton Phillips, and Jewell Chism  presented to the board.  They spoke about the state convention and other activities - the students did a great job presenting.

In other business, the board:

1.  Tabled the approval of policy/procedures until next month

2.  Approved Lauren Tippen as the Belcher Scholarship candidate for Bloomfield High School

3.  Approved the Bond Extension named Proposition A - this bond extension would keep the debt service levy the same and generate $1.35 million dollars for capital improvements.

4.  Reviewed the list of board candidates who have filed to date.  Scott Gibbs and Brad Warner have signed up.  Board sign ups close at 5 pm on Tuesday, Jan 16.

The principals each gave their building reports.  

Board Recognition Week is January 21-27, 2018.  Please take a few minutes to let our board members know how much we appreciate the time and effort they give to our district!

In executive session, the board:

1.  Approved Amy McDonald as a substitute pending proper paperwork and background check.

2.  Hired Lecia Dixon as special education teacher for the 2018-19 school year.

3.  Extended Superintendent Toni Hill's contract through the 2019-20 school year.

Bernie School Board Meeting Minutes - Monday, January 8, 2018
Bernie, Missouri - The Bernie Board of Education met on Monday, January 8, 2018 for their first school board session of the new year.

Below are the Board Notes: January 2018 Board of Education Meeting:

The final day for candidates filing for Director to the Board of Education will be January16th at 5 PM. Positions up for re-election this year are Director Judy Zoll and Director Gary Eaton.  (Both incumbents have refiled for positions) 

The Board accepted the resignation from Kristy Bates as the Sr. Beta Sponsor.

Program Evaluation Personnel was approved.

The Board approved paying the bills for the month of January.

During Executive Session, Superintendent Dustin Hick’s contract was extended to 3 years.
The Board approved hiring Lisa Waltrip from part time to full time ECSE Aide and Special Education Aide.

Next regular Board of Education Meeting will be February 12, 2018.
