Game #8 Bloomfield Christmas Tournament Kennett vs South Pemiscot

Bloomfield, Missouri - The Kennett Indians faced the South Pemiscot Bulldogs on Tuesday, December 26th in Game #8 of the 2017 Bloomfield Christmas Tournament.

Kennett seeded #9 upset the #8 seeded South Pemiscot by a score of 52-48 and will play the Dexter Bearcats on Wednesday, December 27th at 4:00 p.m.

Kennett doubled the Bulldogs total points in the first quarter, 20 - 10.  By half time S. Pem had recovered and cut the lead to 6.

Sophomore guard Khalal Johnson hit three of the Bulldogs’ four treys on his way to a team-high 12 points.

Junior forward Jamarea Rogers also finished in double digits for South Pemiscot with 11 points.

Four Bulldogs made 3-pointers, Lasilas Smith had 1, Kevin Burton had 1 , Khalal Rogers had 3, and Golton Golden had one.

Patrick Maddox, senior 6'1" forward for Kennett, finished with a game-high 29 points.  he had 13 buckets and was 3/6 at the charity stripe.

South Pemiscot (5-3) will begin its quest to win the consolation bracket Dec. 27 at 2:30 p.m. when it takes on No. 16 seeded Richland.

South Pemiscot will play Richland at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27th.

Game #7 Bloomfield Christmas Tournament - Portageville vs Bloomfield

Bloomfield, Missouri - The Portageville Bulldogs came in as the #7 seed and fell in double overtime to the #10 seeded Bloomfield Wildcats in the first upset of the 2017 Bloomfield Christmas Tournament on Tuesday, December 26th.

The Bloomfield Wildcats scored 13 points in the second overtime period of Game #7 to defeat the Portageville Bulldogs by a score of 63 - 51. (The last few minutes of the game plus both double overtime periods can be seen on the ShowMe Times Facebook page).

The Bulldogs led at the end of the first quarter 13 - 11.  Bloomfield took the lead near the end of the second period going into the locker room at the half with a score of 25-24.

Portageville held Bloomfield to just six points in the third period, but the Wildcats struggled back well and tied it up 48-48 for their first overtime.  Each team scored only two points causing yet another overtime period of 4 minutes.

It was all Wildcat basketball in double overtime.  They outscored Portageville 13 - 5 for the victory.

Peyton Bell earned a game-high 20 points for Bloomfield on five buckets and was 7/12 at the charity stripe. He also had one 3-pointer.

Dalton Phillips tallied 19 points on 4 buckets, 2 treys and 5 from the free throw.

Travis McCollough finished with 15 points.  He also had one 3-pointer.

Portageville's Ian Torrey recorded a team-high 19 points.  DAniel Carter finished with 11 points.

Final Score Portageville 55, Bloomfield 63

Bloomfield, Missouri - The Doniphan Dons faced the Puxico Indians in Game #6 of the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament on Tuesday, December 26th.

Doniphan's Klay Barton recorded a team-high 18 points on 7 buckets and was 100% from the charity stripe adding four.

Wyatt Marler finished with 14 points on four buckets and two 3-pointers.

Puxico led at the end of the first quarter 13 - 8 and at the end of the first half 25 - 20.

Levi Woods led the Indians with a game-high 20 points including three treys.

Matt Bollinger finished with 17 points.

Bloomfield, Missouri - The East Prairie Eagles faced the Van Buren Bulldogs in Game #6 of the 2017 Bloomfield Christmas Tournament on Tuesday, December 26th.

Mason Bryars led the attack for the Eagles with a game-high 21 points in the first three periods.  Luke Marcum tallied 15 points and Derez Tipler finished with 10 points.

The Eagles entered the second half with a lead of 41 - 27.

Bulldogs top scoring player was Hayden Towner who recorded 16 points on 7 buckets and 2 from the charity stripe.  Conner Jackson added 13 on 4 treys and a free throw.

Bloomfield, Missouri - The Malden Green Wave and the Twin Rivers Royals squared off in Game #4 of the 2017 Bloomfield Christmas Tournament on Tuesday, December 26th.

Donterrian Triplett jumped out with three buckets to ensure Malden's lead over Twin Rivers early in the fist quarter.  Dushawn Butler added a bucket and a trey to finish off the first period with a 17-12 lead.  

By half-time the Green Wave were ahead by nine points, but quickly went on the attack scoring 14 points holding Twin Rivers to just 8 in the third quarter.

Dushawn Butler finished with a game-high 20 points for Malden.  Brodderic Annesser tallied 14 points and Donterrian Triplett finished with 10 points.

The Royals had one player in double digits, Hayden Thomas recorded 13 points.

Final Score Malden 60, Twin Rivers 39
