Gloria La-marr Adams, 80, of Dexter, Missouri, formerly of Hudson, Florida, died at home, December 15, 2017. Born July 29, 1937 in Largo, Florida to Cion B. and Letty B. (Slate) Strickland, she is predeceased by: her parents, two sisters, Patsy Sellars, Ellen Spong; her husband of 38 years, J. Allen Adams, and two sons, Ross E. Fields, Jr., and Lamar “Bubba” Adams, all of Florida.
Survivors include: three daughters, Mary (Allen) Farmer and Deborah Brown, Dexter, Missouri and Carolyn Beltran, Lake Dallas, Texas; one sister, Jeanette Scoggins, Sycamore, Georgia; one brother, Charles Strickland, Tampa, Florida; Ten grandchildren, Jon Farmer, Lake Wappapello, Missouri, Daniel Farmer, Dexter, Missouri, Charlotte Fields, Patsy Fields, Christopher Fields, Joshua Fields, all of New Port Richey, Florida, Ross Fields, III, Abbeville, Georgia, Lamar (Scott) Adams, Greenville, North Carolina, Taylor Brown, Melbourne, Florida, Alejandra Beltran, Forth Worth, Texas; plus seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
Gloria was of the Pentecostal Faith and an avid member of the Upper Room Apostolic Church in New Port Richey, Florida where she cheerfully helped in any way she could from cleaning church to teaching youth. She especially loved singing in the choir and attending Ladies Seminars. Her hobbies were reading, sewing, crafts, travelling and watching wrestling shows.
After the death of her husband and retirement from Wal-Mart in New Port Richey, Florida, she moved eighteen years ago to Dexter. She had been bedfast for the last fifteen years due to a stroke before God liberated her. She will be greatly missed by all her friends and family and remembered for the cheerful smile and hugs she gave while in the midst of her adversity.
Visitation will be held at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church, 625 North Hickory in Dexter, Missouri on Tuesday December 19, 2017 from 9:30 A. M. until 10:30 A. M., followed immediately by services at 10:30 A. M. Speakers will be Anna Hook and Judith Bentley.
Burial will be held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
All arrangements are under the direction of Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Betty Jean Stanley was born on December 10, 1931 in Como, Missouri to the late John Greenlee and Sylvia Morse Greenlee.
She departed this life on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the Southeast Health of Stoddard County in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 86 years 0 months and 4 days.
Betty Jean Stanley had been employed as an in-home healthcare. She was united in marriage to James Stanley on February 28, 1969 in Malden, Missouri. He survives of the home in Malden.
Her other survivors include: Son: Vance Pawielski, Grandson: Vance Pawielski, and 2 Great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother: Larry McClung and sister: Christine Armstrong.
Visitation was held held on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden from 12-2 P.M.
Funeral services followed at 2:00 P.M. at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden with Mr. James Powell officiating.
Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.

Tracy Lynn Randel Crutchfield, daughter of the late Willie Gene Richard and Barbara Leetzow Richard was born on December 9, 1956 in Saint Charles, Illinois and departed this life on December 13, 2017 at the Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 61 years.
Tracy was of Baptist faith and was a resident of Dexter.
She was united in marriage to Timothy Mark Crutchfield. Mr. Crutchfield preceded her in death on November 7, 2017.
Survivors include: one son, Darrin Randel of Dexter; by three sisters, Luann Shipman of Clarksville, Arkansas, Martha Mace and husband Terry of Sulphur, Louisiana, and Katie (Kay) Costigan and husband Frank of Dexter; by eight nieces and seven nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband and parents.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 1:00 to 2:30 PM.
Services will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 2:30 PM.
Interment will follow at the Dexter Cemetery.

In Memory of Danny Bell

Danny Ervin Bell, son of the late Ervin Bell, Jr. and Billie Gwendolyn (Gregory) Bell, was born on November 11, 1947, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and departed this life on December 10, 2017, at his home in Haines City, Florida, at the age of 70.
He is survived by his daughter, Tonya Bell, of Memphis, Tennessee; two granddaughters, Jordan Hall, and Lexi Shaner, of Memphis,Tennessee; two brothers, Thomas L. Bell and wife Dena of Dexter, Missouri; Michael E. Bell and wife Cindy, of Bloomfield, Missouri; nieces; nephews; cousins; many family and friends.
Danny embraced spending time with his daughter and granddaughters. He was a loving person to all he met and would help anyone. He loved being with family and friends, always caring and enjoying life. He set an example by showing his love and giving his time to friends and loved ones. Through all of his life’s challenges, he was optimistic and full of hope.
Danny graduated from Bloomfield schools in 1965. He was of the Baptist faith. Danny served 4 years in the USAF, after which he moved to St. Louis, Missouri, and worked for McDonnell Douglas until he retired. After retirement, he moved to Haines City, Florida, where he enjoyed his passion for golfing and contributing to the community.
A person’s belief in people is not one’s salvation, but love for and belief in your Savior is; Danny believed that. He believed your good deeds will not save you, but your belief on the Lord Jesus Christ will. He may not have shown it, but he believed it. He was a loving man who shared his love with all mankind. He was a blessed person, and through his love, he blessed many others.
His memory will be carried forever in the hearts of his family and friends.

In Memory of George Reed

George Reed of Puxico, son of the late Anthony Leroy and Eva Marcella Clodfelter Reed, was born December 2, 1942, in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff on December 12, 2017, at the age of 75 years and 10 days.
He had lived in St. Louis where he worked in sales at a gun store. He moved to Puxico in the early 1990's. He had worked at Bill's Market before he retired. He was a veteran of the U. S. Coast Guard, a member of the N.R.A. and attended the Duck Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, George F. "Fred" Reed, Jr. of Sarasota, Florida and a daughter, Susan Reed of Jacksonville, Florida; three brothers, John Reed of Albequerge, New Mexico, Robert Reed of St. Ann, Missouri, James Reed of Dallas, Texas; his companion, Janis Vargas of Puxico. Other relatives and friends also survive.
Graveside services will be on Friday, December 15, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield Bro. Buck Cruse of Puxico officiating.
Interment will follow at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors. Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
