Dacus Named Patient Care Manager for Progressive Care
Saint Francis Healthcare System announces the appointment of Victoria Dacus, RN, BSN, to her new role as patient care manager for Progressive Care. 

In this role, Dacus is responsible and accountable for the delivery of care, development of policies and procedures, standards of care and protocols in accordance with the policies, procedures, philosophy and objectives of Saint Francis Medical Center. 

Dacus has been with Saint Francis for 11 years in Progressive Care. When she first stared at the Medical Center she was a CNA and later became the lead charge nurse. 

She earned both her RN and BSN from Southeast Missouri State University.

Tina Rogers Named Manager of Professional Billing at St. Francis
Cape Girardeau, Missouri - Saint Francis Healthcare System announces the appointment of Tina Rogers, as manager of professional billing for revenue cycle. 

In this role, Rogers is responsible for managing the everyday operation of billing, follow-up, credit and collections and payment processing areas of the business office. 

Rogers has been a part of Saint Francis since 2009, and has worked as a hospital biller, a system administrator and an assistant manager for the business office.

St. Francis Welcomes James Williams - New Hospitalist
Cape Girardeau, Missouri - Saint Francis Healthcare System welcomes hospitalists Trae Brotherton III, DO; Chad McCormick, MD; and James Williams, DO, as new Saint Francis Medical Partners. They join 11 other hospitalists in providing expert, dedicated care to hospitalized patients at the Medical Center.
 
Brotherton, a Jackson native, earned his medical degree from A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Mo. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Missouri Health Care in Columbia, Mo. He holds a wide variety of clinical interests, including hematology and infectious diseases, which is why he chose a physician role that allows him to treat the whole patient.

McCormick, a Kelso native, earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia, Mo. He later completed his internal medicine/pediatrics residency at the University of Missouri Health Care in Columbia, Mo. His clinical interests include critical care, pediatrics, infectious diseases and internal medicine.

Williams, a Cape Girardeau native, earned his medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Mo. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Mo. His clinical interests include helping patients manage chronic disease, diabetes and high blood pressure, as well as sepsis management.

“We are happy to welcome these three physicians back to Southeast Missouri, where they grew up,” says Steven C. Hospitalists are doctors at Saint Francis Medical Center who focus on the general medical care of hospitalized patients. Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, Medical Center hospitalists are dedicated to coordinating and managing the healthcare needs of each patient from admission to discharge. Hospitalists help ensure a seamless continuum of care among primary care doctors, physician specialists and inpatient care providers.

Justin Winkler Names Director of Revenue Cycle for St. Francis
Cape Girardeau, Missouri - Saint Francis Healthcare System announces the appointment of Justin Winkler, MBA, as the director of revenue cycle.  

Winkler is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the revenue cycle process, including patient accounting, billing, collections, registration, scheduling and vendor management for the Medical Center and all physician offices. 

He has been with Saint Francis since 2012, where he served as the practice manager for Cape Cardiology Group and the Heart Valve Center. In 2015, he took on additional management responsibilities of Poplar Bluff Neurology Specialists and in 2016, he assumed management of the cardiac and vascular electrodiagnostics department.  

Winkler has a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Southeast Missouri State University.

GARNER ANNOUNCED AS NEW EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT DIRECTOR FOR SAINT FRANCIS

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Saint Francis Healthcare System is pleased to announce Chad Garner, BSN, CEN, RN, as the new emergency department director.

In this role, Garner is responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising all of the non-physician functions within Emergency Services at Saint Francis Medical Center to ensure that the services provided are in accordance with the policies, procedures, philosophy and objectives of Saint Francis. He will oversee a wide variety of regulatory, administrative and fiscal activities while also providing strong leadership, motivation and staff development.

Prior to joining the Saint Francis family, Garner worked in the Emergency Department in Murray, Utah, and as a clinical educator in Springfield, Mo.

He earned his BSN from Missouri State University and is finishing his MS in health promotion and wellness management from Missouri State University. Garner’s experience in two Level 1 Trauma Centers and certifications as a Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Instructor, Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) Instructor and a hazmat coordinator/trainer are specialties that will aid in the care of patients seen in the Emergency Department.
