In Memory of Betty Mae Stoner
Betty Mae Stoner, daughter of the late William Jack Hembrey and Belle Davis Hembrey was born on August 10, 1933 in Newport, Arkansas and departed this life on September 9, 2017 at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 84 years.

Mrs. Stoner retired from Arvin Automotive Manufacturing in Dexter, Missouri and was a resident of Dexter. On May 25, 1949, she was united in marriage to Robert Junior Stoner in Tuckerman, Arkansas.  

Mr. Stoner preceded her in death on June 21, 1989.

Survivors include three sons, Bobby Stoner of Dudley, Missouri, Tim Stoner (Amanda) of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and DeWayne Stoner (Dollie) of Dexter; one daughter, Debbie Whitsel of Benton, Missouri; two brothers, Hub Hembrey (Joyce) of Tuckerman, Arkansas and Jack Hembrey (Sandy) of Newport, Arkansas; three sisters, Thelma Cockrill of Newport, Arkansas, Christine Roberts (Bill) of Vidalia, Louisiana, and Katie Hawk (Doyle) of Newport; by twelve grandchildren, Ashley Cross (Jason) of Jackson, Missouri, Casey Stoner and T.J. Stoner both of Dexter, Wade Stoner (Toni) of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Allen Wilson of Dexter, Tamera Stoner of Poplar Bluff, Tori Carter of Benton, Janey Stoner and Nathen Stoner both of Bernie, Renea Shen, Michael Whitsel, and Stephen Whitsel all of Herrion, Illinois; also by 28 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. 

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one, son Robert Stoner, one daughter, Joyce Whitsel, grandson, Larry J. Whitsel, one great-great-grandson, Eddie Moroney V, one brother, T.J. Hembrey, by three sisters, Sue Creameans, Emily Layton, and Joyce Armstrong. 

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 9:00 until 10:30 A.M. Monday, September 11, 2017.  

Funeral services will then be conducted on Monday at 10:30 A.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Steve Tippen officiating.  

Interment will follow in the Dudley Cemetery.
