In Memory of Albert Frields

Albert Frields, son of the late Claud Frields and Ollie Wells Frields was born on November 2, 1930 in Manilla, Arkansas and departed this life on September 8, 2017 at his residence in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 86.
Mr. Frields was the owner and operator of Frields Plumbing and Heating in Dexter, member of the Dexter Masonic Lodge #532, and enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.
He was united in marriage to Rebecca Clayton on November 6, 1948 in Piggott, Arkansas. Mrs. Frields survives of the home in Dexter.
Besides his wife, other survivors include three daughters, Sherry Burnett of Bloomfield, Melody Savley (Donald) of Nixa, Missouri, Robin Huffman (Randy) of Dexter; by nine grandchildren, Amy Frields, Michael Moore, Brandy Rogers (Brian), David Lee Burnett, Lauren Petit (Mike), Austin Miller (Morgan), Allison Miller, Brian Huffman, Jamie Huffman and companion, Kevin Whitehead; also by thirteen great-grandchildren, Katelyn Frields, Kinley Frields, Josh Moore, Kenton Sanders, Sidney Rogers, Seth Rogers, David Lee Burnett II, Olvia Petit, Anders Miller, Lisa Miller, Ansley Huffman, Riley Huffman, and Eli Whitehead.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Rodger Dale Frields, two brothers, Paul Frields and A.C. Frields; by three sisters, Marie Fowler, Mae Hampton, and Marybelle Hancock.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home Monday, September 11, 2017 from 12:30 until 2:30 P.M.
Funeral services will then be conducted at 2:30 P.M. with Rev. Joe Payne and Donald Savley officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dudley Cemetery.

In Memory of Dorothy Evans Beard

Dorothy Anne Evans Beard, age 76, of Jackson, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born October 12, 1940 in Dexter, Missouri, daughter of Thomas Herbert “Herb and Dora Winnifred Bryant Evans. She and Darrell L. Beard were married May 29, 1994 in Jackson. He passed away April 7, 2005.
Dorothy “Anne” was a 1958 graduate of Dexter High School and attended SEMO in Cape Girardeau. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone in Cape Girardeau for a number of years. She was active in several small business ventures as co-owner/operator which include five years at a Western Auto Store in Albion, Illinois; in 1976, opening the original Jackson Sonic Drive-in; Gordonville Grocery in Gordonville and Frontier Market in Fruitland. She worked at Beussink Hay Stroder accounting firm and Dalton Florist in Jackson and also volunteered at Southeast Hospital. Anne was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Gordonville where she was active in United Methodist Women organization.
Loving survivors include two sons, Trey (Lisa) Chiles of Jackson and James “Jim” (Amy) Chiles of Fruitland; a sister, Karen Evans Francis of Tampa, Florida; five grandchildren, Talon Chiles, Dolan Chiles, Hollyn Chiles, Kyle (Kayla) Uhrhan and Alisia Uhrhan and three great-grandchildren, Bralen, Wren and Ellie.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2017 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. Burial and a graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion United Methodist Cemetery in Gordonville with the Rev. Joel Kidwell officiating.
The family would like to express special thanks to the staff at Life Care Center as well as Southeast Hospice in Cape Girardeau for the excellent care and attention given to Dorothy Anne during her time of need.
Contributions are suggested to Zion United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.

In Memory of Pauline McAnally

Pauline Laverne McAnally, daughter of the late Carl De Arman and Verna Davis De Arman was born on September 25, 1938 in Powe, Missouri and departed this life on September 6, 2017 surrounded by her family at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 78.
Pauline had worked for Southwestern Bell as a long-distance operator, the International Hat Factory and retired from Arvin Automotive. She was a member of the Dudley Community Church. When her daughter, Carla Gay Stoker passed away, she raised Carla’s son, Ethan Stoker, as her own. Ethan survives her.
She was united in marriage to Samuel McAnally in Dexter, Missouri. Mr. McAnally survives her of their home in Dexter.
Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, Kevin De Arman and wife Thera of Sikeston and Michael De Arman and wife Christie of Dexter; two step-sons Larry McAnally and wife Doris of East Bernard TX, and Robert Michael McAnally and wife Mary of East Gadsden AL. By one brother, Gary De Arman and wife Sue of Dexter; by one sister, Gladys Maxine Hopkins and husband Herschel of Dexter; by six grandchildren, Victoria De Arman, Steven De Arman, Gabrielle De Arman, Kenneth and wife Brooke De Arman and Caroline De Arman and Ethan Stoker. Pauline had four great grandchildren an also step-grandchildren & step-great grandchildren. All her grands & great grands knew her as "Granny". She leaves behind an extended family of Aunts, Cousins, Niece & Nephews whom she loved dearly.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Carla Gay Stoker.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M.
Funeral services will then be conducted at 2:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Lynn Ash officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

In Memory of Josh Stevens

Josh Stevens, son of Nathan Stevens and step-mother, Maria Diane Stevens of Dexter and the late Carla Wilson Lutes was born on April 15, 1989 and departed this life on September 3, 2017 at the Southeast Health Center of Stoddard County Emergency Room at the age of 28 years.
Survivors include his father Nathan Stevens and step-mom Maria Stevens; by five brothers, Cody Stevens, Ethan Stevens, Jordon Mason, Jarrett Sandlin and Jarred Sandlin; by one sister Jantzen Cain.
He was preceded in death by his mom Carla Wilson Lutes.
Visitation will be held from 4:30 until 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the Light House Christian Center in Dexter. Memorial service will follow at 6:00 P.M. in the Light House Christian Center in Dexter with Rev. Tim Russell officiating.

In Memory of Claudia Wilson

Claudia J. Wilson of Dexter, daughter of the late Chalmer Hayden and Lola Harriette Oddy Oyler, was born August 11, 1945, in Memphis, Tennessee and passed away at her home in Dexter on September 3, 2017, at the age of 72 years and 23 days.
She had lived in Florida before moving to Dexter five years ago.
Surviving are two daughters and husbands, Hattie & John Granstaff of Dexter, Lola & Dewayne Beard of LaBelle, Florida; five grandchildren, Maura Buchanan, Manie Lanyon, Dewayne Beard, Jr., Brittany (Tony) Smith, Lola (Daniel) Dickinson; seven great grandchildren, thomas Bryant, Joseph Bryant, Dennis Bryant, Amberly Coker, Logan Beard, Ashley Dickinson and James Stafford; one brother, Bill Oyler of Eads, Tennessee. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Tommy Beard.
There are no services scheduled at this time.
