In Memory of John Franklin Morgan
John Franklin Morgan, son of the late D. H. Morgan and Ethel Stover Morgan was born on July 24, 1932 in Braggadocio, Missouri and departed this life on August 18, 2017 at Magnolia Place Skilled Nursing in Jefferson, Texas at the age of 85.

Mr. Morgan was a Veteran in the United States Air Force.  He was a former employee at First Midwest Bank in Dexter and a member of the Dexter First Baptist Church.

He was united in marriage to Dorothy Baker on December 26, 1950 in Paragould, Arkansas.  She resides of the home in Texas.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Judy Lynn Murphy (Daniel), Linda Ramirez both of Jefferson, Texas and Cheryl Baker (Larry) of Richwood, Texas; by one cousin, Johnnie Mae Ramsey; by eight grandchildren, Amy Murphy, Shaun Hunter, Ryan Murphy, Stuart Murphy, Deseree Owens, Morgan Ramirez, Christina Ramirez, and Michelle Owens; eleven great-grandchildren, Ava Hunter, Cora Hunter, David Dussing, Tyler Murphy, Bennett Murphy, Logan Blume, Preston Jorgensen, Rallen Owens, Kara Owens, Weston Conwell and Wyatt Conwell.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jim Morgan and Ray Morgan.

Friends may call at the Rainey Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  Services will be conducted on at Rainey Mathis

Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery.

In Memory of Debra Jaquitta Cobb
Debra Jaquitta Cobb, daughter of the late David E. Allen and Daphna F. Batchelor Allen, was born in Bulter County, Missouri on May 25, 1955 and departed this life in Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on August 19, 2017 at the age of 62.
 
Mrs. Cobb was a homemaker and was a resident of Malden.
 
She was united in marriage to Larry Lovon Cobb in 1970. 
 
Survivors include her husband, Larry Cobb of Malden, Missouri; by two sons, Chad Wayne Cobb and Nick Anthony Cobb both of Malden, Missouri; by two daughters, Marquitta Lynn Glover of Elsinore, Missouri and Angela Dawn Rice of Malden, Missouri; by four brothers, Randall Allen, Neal Allen and David Allen all of Malden, Missouri and Tim Allen of Campbell, Missouri; by three sisters, Helen Lacewell and Daphna Goldsmith both of Malden, Missouri, by Carmeletta Allen of Kennett, Missouri; by ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; also by other relatives and friends.
 
She was preceded in death other than by her parents, by one brother, Victor Allen.
 
Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri on Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.  

Funeral services will then be conducted at 1:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie.

Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.  Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

In Memory of Diane Wagner
Diane Wagner was born on June 26, 1948 in Moro, Arkansas. She departed this life on Friday, August 18, 2017 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 69 years 1 months and 22 days.

Diane was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Malden. On March 12, 1971 she was united in marriage to James Wagner in Kennett, Missouri. He survives of the home in Bernie.

Her other survivors include: two daughters Betty Ann Watson & husband, Danny of Poplar Bluff and Brenda Cowart of Malden.  Two Sons: James Wagner, Jr. of Kennett and Michael Wagner & wife, Betty Jean of Bernie. Six Grandchildren 8 Great-grandchildren, one sister: Dorothy Massey & husband, David of Campbell, Missouri and five brothers: James Noble, David Noble, Avery Noble, Albert Noble & Billy Joe Noble.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers: Edward Noble, Jackie Noble & Jerry Noble and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the First Assembly of God Church in Malden from 11-12. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Thrasher officiating.

Interment will be in the Rosewood 1st Addition Cemetery in Malden.

Landess Funeral Home of Malden is in charge of the arrangements.

In Memory of Mildred Berry
Mildred Berry formerly of Essex, daughter of the late John and Ida Butler Tarpley, was born in Essex, Missouri on January 2, 1927, and passed away at the Bertrand Nursing Center in Bertrand, Missouri on August 19, 2017, at the age of 90 years, 7 months and 17 days.

She had lived in Essex most of her life before moving to Sikeston in 2008. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

On June 3, 1927, she was married to Beck Berry in New Madrid, Missouri. He preceded her in death many years ago.

Surviving are one daughter, Brenda Motches of Birmingham, Alabama; one granddaughter, Melissa Wright of Carrollton, Georgia; three great grandchildren; one sister, Helen Chad of Bertrand, Missouri. Many other relatives and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, Bill Ellison, Jr.

There are no services planned at this time, Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri, in charge of arrangements.

In Memory of Frances West
Frances B. West, daughter of the late W. D. Blaylock and Alta Ward Blaylock was born on January 25, 1932 in Calhoun City, Mississippi and departed this life on August 18, 2017 at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 85.

Mrs. West did accounting work and was a resident of Essex.

She was united in marriage to Cecil West in March of 1957 at Memphis, Tennessee.  Mr. West preceded her in death on August 26, 2008.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers; Jack Blaylock, David Blaylock, James Blaylock and Norris Blaylock.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, August 20, 2017 from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00A.M.  Services will then be conducted on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at 10:00 A. M., with Brother Ed Champion officiating.

Interment will be held at Malden Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 10:00 A. M.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of all arrangements.
