In Memory of Frances West
Frances B. West, daughter of the late W. D. Blaylock and Alta Ward Blaylock was born on January 25, 1932 in Calhoun City, Mississippi and departed this life on August 18, 2017 at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 85.

Mrs. West did accounting work and was a resident of Essex.

She was united in marriage to Cecil West in March of 1957 at Memphis, Tennessee.  Mr. West preceded her in death on August 26, 2008.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers; Jack Blaylock, David Blaylock, James Blaylock and Norris Blaylock.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, August 20, 2017 from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00A.M.  Services will then be conducted on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at 10:00 A. M., with Brother Ed Champion officiating.

Interment will be held at Malden Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 10:00 A. M.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of all arrangements.

In Memory of Madeline Hume
Madeline Hume, daughter of the late Fred J. Meyers and Eliza Vance Meyers was born on April 9, 1929 in Potosi, Missouri and departed this life on August 18, 2017 at the Saint Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 88.

Mrs. Hume was a member of The Risen Church in Dexter, Mo. where she had been a member for many long years.  She was a homemaker and a retired bus driver for the Dexter Public School System.

She was the widow of the late Robert R. Gardner in 1952, the late Winson A (Steve) Smith in 1973, and the late Earl L. Hume in 2002.

She is survived by one daughter, Violet (James) Higgs; by one son-in-law, John Wade of Dexter, Mo.; by four grandchildren, Brian (Kim) Barnes of Jackson, Mo, Melanie (Mike) Geiger of Bell City, Mo, Vickie (Drew) Soule of Dexter, Mo, and Carmen (Justin) Maddon of Wahiawa, HI; by eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and other friends and relatives.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Carol Gardner Wade; five brothers, Charles, Alfred, Joseph, Stanley and Jesse; by three sisters, Lucy Meyers, Essie Battrell and Ann Schwender and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Rainey Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 12:30 pm to 2:00 PM.  

Services will be conducted at the Rainey Mathis Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jeff Roth officiating.

Interment will follow at the Caroline Dowdy Cemetery.

In Memory of Carl Oberle
Carl Francis Oberle, son of the late Andre Oberle and Wilamina Victoria Hurst Oberle was born on October 12, 1933 in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri and departed this life on August 16, 2017 at his residence in Advance, Missouri at the age of 83.

Mr. Oberle was a Veteran of the United States Navy.  He was a purchasing agent for the Department of the Army for 37 years.  

He was united in marriage to Connie B. Capehart on January 4, 1980 in Clayton, Missouri.  Mrs. Oberle survives of the home in Advance.

Besides his wife, Connie, he is survived by four sons, Carl Francis Oberle, Jr, of Illinois, Andrew Francis Oberle of Gainesville, Florida, Carl Francis Oberle II and Jeffrey L. Oberle both of Advance, Missouri; by four daughters, Andrea Richards of Euless, Texas, Ann Coogan of St. Peters, Missouri, Ashley Victoria Oberle of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and  Jenna L. Oberle of Advance, Missouri; by one brother, Jack Oberle of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri; by three sisters, Mary Bowyer and Betty Moody both of St. Louis, Missouri, and Helen Naeger of Farmington, Missouri; by several grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; by two brothers, Andre Oberle and Joseph Oberle; by one sister, Rose Lee Calacci.

Graveside service was held on August 18, 2017 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Rev. Gary Hancock officiating.

In Memory of Cassandra Becking
Cassandra Kay Becking, daughter of George H. Becking and Shirley A. Schrader Becking, was born in Rolla, Missouri on July 25, 1961 and departed this life at her residence in Clinton Township, Michigan on August 13, 2017 at the age of 56.
 
Ms. Becking had been the Office Manager of a Photographer.

Survivors include her parents, George H. and Shirley Becking of Clinton Township, Michigan; by one brother Bruce Edward Becking & wife Linda, of the State of Oregon; by Several Nieces and Nephews and Great-Nieces & Nephews; also by other relatives and friends.
 
Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in BERNIE, Missouri on Friday, August 18, 2017 from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M.  

Funeral Services will then be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie at 11:00 A.M.  

Interment will follow in Bernie Cemetery.  Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in charge of all arangements.

In Memory of Marvin Wheeler
Marvin Wheeler, son of the late Arthur Blane Wheeler and Deliah Henson Wheeler was born on September 6, 1943 in Princeton, Kentucky and departed this life on August 17, 2017 at Central Gardens Residential Care in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 73.

Mr. Wheeler served in the United State Army and was a food buyer for Holloway Distributing Company in Puxico, Missouri.

On June 26, 1965, he was united in marriage to Jo Ann Reynolds in Harrisburg, Illinois and she preceded in death on April 5, 2015.

Survivors include, one daughter, Denita (Shannon) Shipman of Dexter, Missouri; by one son, Earl (Kristie) Wheeler of Sullivan, Missouri; by one brother, Clyde Wheeler of Springhill, Tennessee; by one sister, Melodean Wheeler of Princeton, Kentucky; by four grandchildren, Sarah Slavings, Alex Morgan, Harli Wheeler, and Ty Wheeler; by two great-grandchildren, Jaxon Slavings and Rohan James Slavings.

Besides his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Wheeler and Jim Wheeler.

Friends may call at the Rainey Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  

Services will be conducted on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Rainey Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Joe Payne officiating.  

Interment will follow at the Hagy Cemetery.
