In Memory of Cassandra Becking
Cassandra Kay Becking, daughter of George H. Becking and Shirley A. Schrader Becking, was born in Rolla, Missouri on July 25, 1961 and departed this life at her residence in Clinton Township, Michigan on August 13, 2017 at the age of 56.
 
Ms. Becking had been the Office Manager of a Photographer.

Survivors include her parents, George H. and Shirley Becking of Clinton Township, Michigan; by one brother Bruce Edward Becking & wife Linda, of the State of Oregon; by Several Nieces and Nephews and Great-Nieces & Nephews; also by other relatives and friends.
 
Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in BERNIE, Missouri on Friday, August 18, 2017 from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M.  

Funeral Services will then be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie at 11:00 A.M.  

Interment will follow in Bernie Cemetery.  Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in charge of all arangements.

In Memory of Marvin Wheeler
Marvin Wheeler, son of the late Arthur Blane Wheeler and Deliah Henson Wheeler was born on September 6, 1943 in Princeton, Kentucky and departed this life on August 17, 2017 at Central Gardens Residential Care in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 73.

Mr. Wheeler served in the United State Army and was a food buyer for Holloway Distributing Company in Puxico, Missouri.

On June 26, 1965, he was united in marriage to Jo Ann Reynolds in Harrisburg, Illinois and she preceded in death on April 5, 2015.

Survivors include, one daughter, Denita (Shannon) Shipman of Dexter, Missouri; by one son, Earl (Kristie) Wheeler of Sullivan, Missouri; by one brother, Clyde Wheeler of Springhill, Tennessee; by one sister, Melodean Wheeler of Princeton, Kentucky; by four grandchildren, Sarah Slavings, Alex Morgan, Harli Wheeler, and Ty Wheeler; by two great-grandchildren, Jaxon Slavings and Rohan James Slavings.

Besides his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Wheeler and Jim Wheeler.

Friends may call at the Rainey Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  

Services will be conducted on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Rainey Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Joe Payne officiating.  

Interment will follow at the Hagy Cemetery.

Rainey Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter in charge of all arrangements.

In Memory of Paul Johnston
Paul D. Johnston, son of the late Claude Johnston and Pauline Faries Johnston was born on July 29, 1936 in Puxico, Missouri and departed this life on August 15, 2017 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 81.

He was a member of the New Bethel General Baptist Church.  He retired  from the Foushee Candy Company in Dexter after 30 years of service as their warehouse supervisor and was also the former owner of Dexter Dry Cleaners for 10 years.

Paul was united in marriage to Shirley Davis on July 2, 1955 in Puxico.  Shirley passed away on November 22, 2004.  

From this union two children were born, one daughter, Vicky (Terry) Fields of Dexter; one son David (Amy) Johnston of Slaughter, Louisiana; by three grandchildren; Chrissy (Shannon) Herren, Julia Johnston, and Michael (Kellie) Johnston; by three great-grandchildren; Lexi and Lindsey Herren and Merritt Johnston; by one brother, Donald (Sheila) Johnston of Sparks, Nevada.

Paul was then united in marriage to Joyce Findley on March 31, 2007 at Dexter.  Mrs. Johnston survives of the home.

Friends may call at the Rainey Mathis Funeral Home on Friday August 18, 2017 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM.  Services will be conducted on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Dean Williams officiating.  Interment will follow at the Chalk Bluff Cemetery.

In Memory of Shannon Dailey
Shannon Dailey, son of the late Roland E. Dailey and son of Jeannie Alsup Putney was born on March 15, 1983 in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on August 12, 2017 in Cape Girardeau County at the age of 34.

Mr. Dailey was a Veteran of the United States Marines and served in Afghanistan. He loved to hike, camp, go cave spelunking, forge knives, and swords.   He loved to spend time with his friends, family and especially his daughter, niece, and nephew.  Shannon was an artist, he loved to draw and was very good at it.

Survivors include, his mother Jeannie Putney and step-father Roger Putney of Dexter; by one daughter, Kassidy Ann Dailey of Scott City, Missouri; by one brother, Jason Dailey (Ginger) of Sedgewickville, Missouri; by grandparents Junior and Betty Alsup of Bloomfield, Missouri; by one nephew Jensen Dailey; by one niece, Alyssa Dailey.

He was preceded in death by his father Roland Dailey.

Friends may call at the Rainey Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on August 18, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.  

Services will be conducted on August 18, 2017 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Billy Garner officiating.  

Interment will follow at the Hagy Cemetery with full Military Honors.

In Memory of Elinor Anna Rhoades

Elinor Anna Rhoades of St. Louis, MO, died on August 12, 2017, at the age of 90. She was the daughter of Milton O. Mauer and Eleanor Berneking Mauer, both deceased; dear sister (known as Sissy) of Robert Mauer, Russell Mauer, Melba Mauer Sona, Marian Mauer Rhoades, Richard Mauer, Milton Mauer, Jr., and David Mauer, all deceased; loving wife of Aaron Lee Rhoades for 68 years; devoted mother of Deborah Rhoades Lanier and Cheryl Rhoades Easterwood; wonderful grandmother of Todd Michael Lanier, Craig Stephen Lanier, Chad Matthew Lanier, Jonathan David Easterwood, Jeffrey Ryan Easterwood and Jarrod Michael Easterwood; and great-grandmother to Brielle Christina Easterwood, Judah Liam Easterwood, Miles Augustus Easterwood, Max Carter Lanier, Madison Elizabeth Lanier and Mason Alexander Lanier.

Elinor loved her Lord Jesus Christ and loved sharing His love with anyone she met. She was heavily involved in church leadership including the choir, missions, Vacation Bible School, and Sunday School as well as in community service including the Forsyth Garden Club and the Library Thrift Shop. She and Aaron traveled extensively throughout the United States and abroad, but she most loved being with her family. She was known by all for her sweet smile, lovely voice, and gracious personality and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services: Visitation Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral and Cremation Center, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Dr., (St. Charles) with a service following at 12 p.m.  Interment will take place at Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens, 2000 N. Pennsylvania Ave., (St. Louis).
