Metta Loretta Robey, daughter of the late William Starnes and Minnie Mae Nations Starnes, was born on November 21, 1954 in Lutesville, Missouri and departed this life on June 1, 2017 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff at the age of 62.

Mrs. Robey was a hair stylist/cosmetologist at the Smartstyle Salon.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bloomfield and was a resident of Bloomfield.

On August 3, 1973, she was united in marriage to Mike Robey in Bloomfield.  Mr. Robey survives of the home in Bloomfield.

Besides her husband she is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Johnny Robey Jr. and his wife Jeanne of Columbia, Illinois and Shawn Allen Robey I and his wife Misty of Bloomfield, Missouri; by one daughter and son in law, Leslie Cannon and her husband Ken of Puxico; by six brothers, Gaylon Starnes of Dexter, Leslie Starnes of Piggott, Arkansas, Randy Starnes Sr. of Dexter, Gary Starnes of Dexter, Jerry Wayne Starnes of Dexter and Danny Richard Starnes of Bloomfield; by three sisters, Mary Lou Pullum of Dexter, Willa Dean Weldon of Monmouth, Illinois and Barbara Joiner of Dexter; by ten grandchildren, Emily, Zach, Shawn Allen, Logan, Jayden, Ely, Sami, Sarah, Desiree and Kenny and by seven great-grandchildren, Lindy, Lainey, Chance, Parker, Presley, Kenny and Reese.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Willard Franklin Starnes and John Henry Starnes.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Jerry Darby officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery near Bloomfield.
