Dorotha Blunt, daughter of Charles Stoker and Iva Gilbretha was born on March 16, 1937 at Qulin, Missouri and departed this life at the Dexter Living Center in Dexter, Missouri on May 29, 2017 at the age of 80.
Ms. Blunt attended the Light House Church in Dexter, was a former employee in the bakery at Town and Country Super Market, and a resident of Dexter.
Survivors include two daughters, Sherry Blunt and Kathy Ivy both of Dexter, and one son, Ronny Blunt of Brush, Colorado; one brother, Thomas Stoker of Bearden, Arkansas; by two sisters, Betty Taylor of Dexter and Margrettia Throgmorton of Bloomfield, Missouri; by fifteen grandchildren, Jason Ivy, Ethon Ivy, Megan Blunt, Jacob Hyten, Justin Hyten, Bethany Hyten, Ciara Blunt, Shawn Blunt, Shane Blunt, Jesse Blunt, Matt Blunt, Sara Blunt, Daniel Blunt, Samual Blunt, and Abby Blunt; also by five great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Stanley and Robert Blunt; one daughter, Debra Blunt; eight brothers, Chester Stoker, Paul stoker, Ray Stoker, Junior Stoker, Hubert Stoker, O’Dell Stoker, Dennis Stoker, and Robert Stoker; by four sisters, Christine Davis, Mae Warden, Bobbie Stoker, and Effie Foster.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 until 1:00 P.M. Friday June 2, 2017 at the Light House Christian Center in Dexter.
Funeral services will then be conducted at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Tim Russell officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
