
James Ray Massey, son of the late Dee Massey and Alowese Baker Massey, was born in Buckeye, Arizona on January 8, 1958 and departed this life at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on May 2, 2017 at the age of 59.
Jamie had been Plant Manager for Tanner Seed in Powe, Missouri for 40 years, he also Coached Bernie Little League and served as Commissioner, he was on the Board of Public Water Supply District #6. He was a resident of Rural Bernie, Missouri.
He was united in marriage to Annetta Gay “Minnie” Stobaugh in Bernie, Missouri on November 26, 1977.
Survivors include his wife, Annetta Gay “Minnie” Massey of Bernie, Missouri; by three sons, Corey James Massey of Benton, Missouri, Matthew Thomas Massey and Marcus Shane Massey both of Bernie, Missouri; by three brothers, Terry Massey of Scappoose, Oregon, Larry Fitzgerald of Dexter, Missouri, Jerry Don Massey of Bernie, Missouri; by two sisters, Sandra Barnes of Las Vegas, Nevada and Christine Marshall of Bernie, Missouri; by four grandchildren, Hunter Massey, Brantley Massey, Hudson Massey, Cody Massey; also by other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death other than by his parents, by two brothers, Charles Massey and one in infancy; by one sister in infancy.
Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M.
A Memorial service will then be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Dale Hartle officiating.
