James "Jim" Dill of Puxico, Missouri, son of the late Herbert and Lena Bond Dill, was born January 9, 1939 in Weiner, Arkansas and passed away at his home in Puxico on April 29, 2017, at the age of 78 years, 3 months and 20 days.
James grew up in Dexter and moved to St. Louis where he lived and raised his family until his retirement. He and his wife moved to Puxico in 1993.
James served in the US Air Force. He was a Life member of the VFW in Puxico. James was a Retired Heavy Equipment Operator out of Operating Engineers Local 513. He was of the Baptist Faith.
On July 6, 1959 he was married to Christine Russell in Essex, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife Christine Dill of Puxico; one son Michael Dill of Puxico; one daughter, Kathy Schmitz of Desoto, Missouri; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, H. L. Dill, Jr. of Georgetown, Illinois. Other relatives and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Leon Dill and one sister, June Thomas; and one grandson, Michael Voelker, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 3, 2017 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM at the Watkins and Son Funeral Home in Dexter..
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at the Watkins and Son Funeral Home in Dexter with Brother Ken Johnson of Dexter officiating.

Scotty “Ducky” Frazier, Jr., 17, of Poplar Bluff, passed away on Wednesday April 26, 2017 at his residence.
He was born on March 28, 2000 to Scotty and Kathy (Osborn) Frazier in Poplar Bluff, MO. He was a sophomore at Poplar Bluff High School.
Scotty enjoyed working on cars with his father, collecting model cars, and most of all spending time in the outdoors fishing and hunting. He had been attending Bluff City Apostolic Worship Center.
Scotty is survived by his three sisters, Tiffany Frazier of Poplar Bluff, MO, Victoria Frazier of Winona, MO, Chelsea Frazier of Buena Vista, GA; two aunts, Teresa Frazier of Poplar Bluff, MO and Christina Frazier of Nevada, MO; one uncle, Raymond Frazier of Springfield, MO; his grandparents, Doyle and Jewell Frazier of Nevada, MO; and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 1-3:00 p.m. at Moore Funeral Service in Poplar Bluff. A Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel with Carlos Jeffries officiating. Burial will take place in the Black Creek Cemetery.
Herman “Jack” Jackson, son of the late Herman R. Jackson and Erma L. Hamilton Jackson was born on October 22, 1936 and departed this life on April 27, 2017 at the Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Center in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 80.
Mr. Jackson was the former owner of Jackson’s Florist and Jackson’s Monuments in Dexter, Missouri, where he was the Florist and Memorialist. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Dexter.
He also served on the Liberty Township Board of Stoddard County for many years.
On July 10, 1958, he was united in marriage to Norma Walters. Mrs. Jackson survives of the home in Dexter.
Besides his wife, Norma; other survivors include one daughter, Cerendia L. Woollums (Ray) of Dexter; by one son, Keith G. Jackson of Las Vegas, Nevada; by two granddaughters, Jessica Brown (Brad) of Dexter and Ashley Miller (Landon) of Dexter; by two great-grandchildren, Levi James Miller and Reagan Delaney Brown.

Services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 2:00 PM in Rainey Mathis Funeral Chapel with Justin Sponaugle officiating.
Interment will follow at the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
Beauford Howard Brown, son of the late Clety Columbus Brown and Ima Thelma Cooper Brown was born on April 10, 1931 at Bernie, Missouri and departed this life on April 25, 2017 at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 86.
Mr. Brown was a former employee of Federal Mogul as a shipping and receiving clerk for 31 years. He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and was a St. Louis Cardinal fan.
He was united in marriage to Thelma Lea McGowen on August 12, 1950 in Piggott, Arkansas. She survives of the home in Dexter.
Besides his wife Thelma, he is survived by one daughter, Barbara Jane Wicks (Oliver) of Holly Springs, MS; son-in-law, Horace Parker of Johnston City, IL; by twelve grandchildren, Justin, Michael, Sarah, Robin, Jennifer, Brian, Vonda, Brandon, Joseph, Timothy, Andrew, and Deborah; seven great-grandchildren, Michaeli, Miracle, Michael Jr., Spencer, Casey, Dillion and Zoe; one great-great-grandchild, Braylen Ash.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Beverly June Parker; four brothers, Edsol Brown, Norris Brown, Carlyn Brown, and Truman Rice; one sister, Margie Wolfe.

Our forever child, Lisa Ranea Miller, 53, was born on March 24, 1964 to Cletis A. and Opal Wolpers Miller. She passed away April 25, 2017 at her home in Dexter.
She leaves behind two sisters, and her caregivers; Janis Midgett of Dexter and Marilyn (Bo) Cartwright of Bloomfield, Missouri; by a niece, three nephews, five great nieces, two great nephews and two great-great nephews. She also leaves a dedicated in service aide, Emily Lashley who loved and cared for her for seventeen years. Her joyful smile and mischief filled eyes will be missed by her family and friends.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents; by one sister, Marcia Kay Miller; by one brother-in-law, David Midgett and her niece Amy Elizabeth Cartwright.
