South Pemiscot, Missouri - The Bloomfield Wildcats easily secured their first win of the Class 2, District 1 boys basketball tournament on Saturday. The Wildcats defeated South Pemiscot 64-35.
Timmy Hector had a game-high 22 points for the Wildcats.

Hayti defeated Holcomb 73 - 41, Bernie defeated Senath-Hornersville 59 - 40, and Campbell beat Puxico 70 - 54.
Bloomfield (14-11) will play Hayti (16-11) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21st in a semifinal game.
Bernie (14-12) will play Campbell (15-9) at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21st in the other semifinal game.
Thursday, February 23rd at 7:30 will be the Championship game for Class 2, District 1 boys basketball.

Bloomfield, Missouri - The Dexter Bearcats tallied 12 unanswered points in the 4th quarter to defeat the Bloomfield Wildcats in a semifinal match-up on Thursday evening.
Clay Mullins finished with a game-high 16 points on six buckets and was 4/11 at the charity stripe.
Jason Jarrell and Ben Sindle recorded 12 points each. Sindle tallied 4 treys.
Bloomfield paced Dexter in the first three quarters. They were tied 12-12 at the end of the first and 20-20 at the end of the first half. Dexter led by 3 at the end of the third. It was the fourth quarter that Dexter pulled ahead scoring 12 points and finally finishing the game 55 - 42 putting them in the Championship seat on Friday night against the #1 seed Advance.
"That few minutes there was the only part of the game that looked like a basketball game," commented head coach Josh Dowdy. "Other than that it was a tug-of-war all night long."
Peyton Bell led Bloomfield with 11 points. He recorded three 2-pointers, 1 trey, and was 5/8 at the free throw line.

Dexter (13-5) will face Advance in the Championship game at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2017. The Bearcats' last SCAA Championship win was in 2012. Advance hasn't won the tournament since 1978.
Bloomfield will play Bernie for 3rd Place at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
Bloomfield, Missouri - With the JV portion of the SCAA boys basketball Tournament underway the Bloomfield Wildcats earned another notch in the win category defeating the Wooodland Cardinals 53 - 40.
They started off evenly matched as it was tied 8-8 at the end of the first quarter. Bloomfield Micael Phillips hit a 3-pointer early in the first period. At the half Bloomfield led 22 - 12.
Sophomore Travis McCullough led the Wildcats with a team-high 11 points. He sank three 3-pointers and one field goal.
Gage McNeil also a sophomore recorded double digits as well finished the night with 10.
Karson Skiner led Woodland and was the game-high scorer with 16 points. He recorded one trey.
