Hazel Lea Mouser Obituary

Hazel Lea Mouser, daughter of the late “J.B.” Lane and Ruble Snider Lane was born on September 20, 1938 in Parma and passed away on April 4, 2016 at her residence in Dexter at the age of 77.

Mrs. Mouser was a Christian and of the Baptist faith. She had worked at Delta Asphalt as a secretary. She was a giving woman, always putting others before herself. Spending time with her children and later, her grandchildren brought great joy to her life. She loved being surrounded by her large family, always putting their needs before hers.

On January 19, 1963 she was united in marriage to Ralph Mouser in St. Louis, Missouri. Mr. Mouser survives of their home in Dexter.

Besides her husband she is survived by three sons and their spouses; Eric and Pam Mouser, Kendal and Brandy Mouser and Corey and Tara Mouser all of Dexter; by two daughters and their spouses, Lezlie and Galen Taylor of Tyler, Texas and Tracey and Matt Helms of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri; by nine grandchildren, Brennan Taylor, Tricia Taylor, Brooke Taylor, Erika Mouser, Sarah Mouser, Mattilyn Helms, Seth Mouser, Emily Mouser and Ayden Huey; by one brother, Rick Lane of Essex; by two sisters, Laneal Weidenbenner of Belleville, Illinois and Shelba Mofield of Dexter and by three sister in laws, Loretta Mouser of Poplar Bluff, Pat Mouser of St. Louis and Margie Hueckel of Essex.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Lane.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Elijah Allen officiating. Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests all memorials be made to the Keller Public Library, 402 West Grant Street, Dexter, Missouri 63841 OR the Stoddard County Children’s Home, P.O. Box 164, Dexter, Missouri 63841.
