Emilye Garner, was born on November 22, 1926 at Dunnville, Ontario, Canada and departed this life in the Mulberry Manor at Dexter on May 23, 2015 at the age of 88.
Mrs. Garner was a member of the Bernie Christian Church, had previously worked at the Midway Drive In, Family Drive In and Weeks Theater all in Dexter. She had served as a receptionist for Stallings C.P.A., The Bank Of Bloomfield and for Dr. Neal Garner D.O. She had been an active member of the Dexter Chapter, Order Of Eastern Star #311, where she had served as Worthy Matron and had been a member of the Dexter Civic Club.
She was united in marriage to Winfred C. Garner on November 27, 1946 at St. Louis. Mr. Garner preceded her in death on October 6, 2000.
Survivors include one son, Dr. Neal Garner D.O. and wife Lavern of Dexter: by two grandchildren, Brant Garner and wife Brenda and Marisa Garner.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe Casina and John Casina: by two sisters, Jeanne Vinson and Nellie Casina.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 27, 2015.
Funeral services will then be conducted at 11:00 A.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Paul Pierce officiating.
Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery.
