
Dexter, Missouri – Join the American Legion in Dexter for delicious homemade chicken & dumplings this Sunday, March 29th from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Price is only $6.00 per adult and children under 8 are free. They are located at 520 West Oak across from the West City Park.
The Kenady-Hanks American Legion Post #59 serves veterans in our county and raises money throughout the year with fundraisers such as these. They host a blood drive at least four times a year as well adopt families at Christmas and provide a gift to veterans in nursing homes. They host two Veterans Fishing Day in May and September and various other programs for veterans.
Please join them Sunday, March 29th from 11 – 2 and warm-up with some homemade chicken and dumplings!

Dexter, Missouri - The Kiwanis Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be Saturday, April 4th at 1:00 p.m. at West City Park in Dexter, Missouri.
The event is open to all children ages pre-school through 3rd grade. There will be three divisions for prizes - Pre-School, Kingergarten through 1st grade, and 2nd - 3rd grade.
The park is located across from the Stoddard County Ambulance District building on W. Business US Hwy 60 and is FREE to the public.
The Easter Bunny will be there a little before 1 p.m. so bring a camera, but he can’t stay too long as he has to get busy and hide more Easter Eggs that night for all the little boys and girls to find on Easter morning.
There will be three special eggs and one in each age division. Find one and you will receive a wonderful Easter Basket full of goodies!
There will be plenty of eggs for everyone! Come out and have a great time with the kids.

Dexter, Missouri – Southwest Elementary in Dexter is now taking kindergarten screening appointments for the 2015 – 2016 school year.
The screenings will take place at the Southwest Elementary School gym on Thursday, April 16th and Friday, April 17th from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
All incoming kindergarten students must attend this screening. Children must be five years of age before August 1, 2015 to be eligible to attend. Please call 573-614-1015 to schedule an appointment.
A Social Security number must be available when making the appointment.
The following documents are mandatory and must be provided at the time of screening: Birth Certificate shot record (does not have to be up-to-date), and proof of residency. The proof of residency must be a financial obligation to the address for example two utility bills, cable bill, water bill, tax statement, mortgage statement, cell phone bull, etc.
The last day to make an appointment will be Monday, April 13, 2015!
