Rita L. Bader

Rita L. Bader, daughter of the late Michael Litzler and Mary Dietsch Litzler, was born on October 27, 1921 in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on February 22, 2015 at the Malden Nursing Center in Malden, Missouri at the age of 93.

Mrs. Bader was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter and was a resident of Dexter.  She had worked as a Small Farm Specialist for the University of Missouri Extension Office and retired in 1991.  She was a leader of the Star-Banner 4-H Club, she loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sewing, gardening, traveling and she especially loved life.

On February 20, 1946, she was united in marriage to Louis C. Bader in Dexter.  Mr. Bader preceded her in death on January 27, 1966.

She is survived by two sons, Louis Bader, Jr. (Laverne) of Scott City, Missouri, Kenny Bader of Boonville, Missouri; by four daughters, Catherine Bockhold (Anthony) of Dexter, Shearon Harris (Randy) of Bernie, Jovita Klott (Vincent) of Hermann, Missouri and Roberta Cecil (Gerald) of Overland Park, Kansas; by one daughter-in law, Linda Bader of Albany, Georgia; by seven grandchildren, Angela Lutmer (Brian), Bonita Bell (Andrew), Steven Bockhold (Kate), Daniel Bockhold (Amanda), Katie Schout (Andrew), Jessica Mackey (Chris) and Jennifer Cecil; and by nine great-grandchildren, Audry Lutmer, Patrick Lutmer, Jacob Lutmer, Abby Lutmer, Joseph Bell, Luke Bockhold, Eve Bockhold, Michael Bockhold and Gemma Bockhold.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Michael Bader; by three brothers; and by five sisters.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. 

Rosary service will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. 

Funeral services will be conducted at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. with Father David Dohogne officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
