Timmie Louis Hampton

Timmie Louis Hampton
Timmie Louis "T" Hampton, son of the late James Willie "Buddy" and Ruby Mae Halcrombe Hampton, was born in Essex, Missouri on April 12, 1950, and passed away at his home in Memphis, Tennessee on October 18, 2014, at the age of 64 years, 6 months and 6 days.

Mr. Hampton had lived in Memphis, Tennessee since 1981. He grew up in Essex, lived in Malden from 1971 until moving to Memphis. He had worked as a supervisor at the Interpac company. He was a member of Jacob's Well Outreach Ministries and loved to fish and work on cars.

Surviving are two sons, Reginald Reed of Senatobia, Mississippi, Timothy Reed of Malden; one daughter, Katrina Reed of Robinsonville, Mississippi; eight grandchildren, one great  grandchild; two brothers, James Freeman Hampton of Malden, Amos Hampton of Sikeston; six sisters and spouses, Nancy & Series McLeod, Johnnie & Robert Beechham and Deborah Evans all of Memphis, Tennessee, Gerldine Hampton, Earnestine & Robert Jones all of Malden, Lisa Hampton of Essex. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his step-son, Marvin Reed, sister, Gladys Dalton and grandson, Ashton Smith.

Friends may visit Saturday, October 25, 2014, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 25, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri with Pastor Robert Beecham of Memphis, Tennessee officiating.

Interment with be in the Macedonia Cemetery in Malden, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Donna Irene Shaver

Donna Irene Shaver, daughter of Beryl Burroughs Hester of Dexter and the late James Hester, was born in Bury St Edmunds Suffolk, England on August 4, 1958 and departed this life on October 17, 2014 at her residence in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 56.

Mrs. Shaver was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Hayti and had worked as a cook at the Airport Café in Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Charles Shaver in Idalia, Missouri.  Mr. Shaver survives at the home.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by three sons, Daniel Maddox of Bell City, Ben Maddox of Texas and Justin Maddox of Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri; by one step-daughter, Danielle Shaver of Caruthersville; by two sisters-in-law, Judy Hester of Dexter and Barbara Orr of Fisk, by seven grandchildren, Peyton Maddox, Bryson Maddox, Tristan Maddox, Vincent Maddox, Derron Maddox, Dillion Maddox and Shaylee Maddox; by one niece, Kayla Hester; by one nephew, James Hill; and by a special friend, Bryon Lovell of Dexter.

Besides her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Hester.

Visitation was held at the Lighthouse Christian Center in Dexter on Monday, October 20, 2014 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. 

Funeral services were conducted at the Lighthouse Christian Center at 3:00 P. M. with Rev. Doug Wahls officiating. 

Interment followed in the Walker Cemetery.

Hazel Marie Franks
Hazel Marie Franks of Dexter, daughter of the late Floyd and Gracie Mae Holmes Cullum, was born in New Madrid County, Missouri on February 24, 1941, and passed away at Southeast Healthcare of Stoddard County in Dexter, Missouri on October 20, 2014, at the age of 73 years, 7 months and 26 days.

She had lived in Dexter most of her life.

She was married to Jesse Monroe Franks and he preceded her in death in 2012.

Surviving are two sons, Bobby Franks of Perryville, Kenneth Franks of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Ruby Mosier of Mineral Point, Mary Franks of Cincinnati, Ohio, Barbara Franks of Perryville; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Roy Cullum of Bernie, Billy Gene Cullum of Dexter; and one sister, Linda Smith of Poplar Bluff. Other relatives and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Shirley Cullum and one sister, Helen Franks.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2014, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Watkins & Sons Funeral Service in Dexter, Missouri with Rev. Kenneth Biggs of Dexter officiating.

Interment with be in the Bernie Cemetery in Bernie, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Norma H. Bryant, daughter of the late T. L. Bryant and Louise Upchurch Bryant was born on December 27, 1964 in Parma, Missouri and passed away on October 16, 2014 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston at the age of 49.

Mrs. Bryant was a resident of Essex, a member of the Prince of Peace Church in Sikeston and was a former employee of the Wal-Mart in Sikeston.

She is survived by her step-mother, Annie Bryant; by three brothers, Rusty Bryant of St. Louis, Missouri, Herman Bryant of Ashburn, Virginia and Bobby Bryant of Indiana; by three sisters, Sara Bryant of St. Louis, Missouri, Cathy Bryant of Flint, Michigan and Joyce Bryant of St. Louis, Missouri; by four uncles, Theodore Bryant, James Bryant, William Bryant and Russell Bryant; by one aunt, Barbara Bryant; and by many other friends and relatives.

Funeral services were conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 12:00 (Noon) with Dr. Rickey Anderson officiating. 

Interment followed in the Macedonia Cemetery in Malden, Missouri.

Ruby Charlene Edwards

Ruby Charlene Edwards, daughter of the late Robert Vanscyoc and Ruby Buchanan Vanscyoc, was born on March 7, 2948 in Puxico, Missouri and departed this life at her residence in Puxico on October 16, 2014 at the age of 66.

Mrs. Edwards had worked as a nurse and was retired.

She was united in marriage to John S. Edwards.  Mr. Edwards preceded her in death in August of 2002. 

She is survived by four sisters, June Shy of Barnett, Missouri, Saundra Clark of Puxico, Missouri, Roberta Jerrell of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Mary Margret Franklin of Wappapello, Missouri. 

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, William Vanscyoc and one sister, Mary Lou Parsley.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  All arrangements are under the Rainy-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
