Jerry Wiley Richard of Wappapello, Missouri, the son of the late John W. and Eva Duren Richard, was born on September 17, 1944, in Puxico, Missouri and passed away at his residence in Wappapello, Missouri on August 28, 2014, at the age of 69 years, 11 months and 28 days.

Mr. Richard had been a lifelong resident of the Puxico and Wappapello area. He graduated from Puxico High School in 1962.  He was a livestock and hay farmer and loved to hunt and fish.  He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church near Puxico.  On October 23, 1993 he married Carole Armstrong in Wappapello, Missouri.

Surviving are his wife, Carole Richard of Wappapello, Missouri; one stepson, Karl Beal of Kansas City, Missouri and many more family and friends. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Billy Joe, Gary Lee, Arvel Dean, twins John L. & Clide W., Richard.

Friends may call on Saturday, September 6, 2014, after 12:00 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri with the Rev. Doug Clinton of Senath, Missouri officiating.

Interment will follow at the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri.
