Jack Huckstep

John "Jack" Huckstep, the son of the late John W. and Reubie Mills Huckstep, was born in Cairo, Illinois on July 19, 1948, and passed away at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri on July 13, 2014, at the age of 65 years, 11 months and 24 days.
Mr. Huckstep had been raised in Charleston and had lived in Essex the past 12 years. He was a self-employed lawn mower mechanic and was a member of the Church on the Rock in Morehouse, Missouri.
He was married to Peggy Easler in Bertrand, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, Peggy Huckstep of Essex; four sons, Zachary Clark-Huckstep of Cape Girardeau, Matthew Huckstep of East Prairie, John Huckstep of Evansville, Illinois, Chris Huckstep of Tennessee; two daughters, Elaine Hamilton and Jo Birt both of Springfield, Missouri; and one sister, Johnna Hall of Springfield, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Walker and one brother, Ronnie Huckstep.
