John Straman III, son of Inez Wade Straman of Defiance, Ohio and the late John Bernard Straman Jr. was born on July 5, 1954 in Cleveland, Ohio and departed this life on May 23, 2014 at his residence in Bloomfield, Missouri at the age of 59 years.

Mr. Straman was a former Engineer Operator out of Union Hall Locals #18 and #324 in Ohio and Michigan and was a veteran of the United States Marines.  He was a member of the Dexter Eagles, American Legion, and “HOG” Harley Owners Group.  John was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Defiance, Ohio and a current resident of Bloomfield.

On May 23, 1992 he was united in marriage to Margo Maynard in Defiance, Ohio.  Mrs. Straman survives of the home in Bloomfield.

Besides his mother and wife, other survivors include two sisters, Pat Hire and Sally Gerken both of Defiance, Ohio.

Memorial services are planned for a later date with Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter conducting arrangements.
