Dexter, Missouri – Each year the local Kiwanis Club offers scholarships to graduating students who have shown leadership and are in good academic standing. The Kiwanis Club focuses on changing the world by serving children, one child and one community at a time.
This year the Dexter Kiwanis Club awarded two $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors at Dexter Senior High School, Holden Bruce and Kendra Stevenson.
Presenting the check are Kiwanis Club President Matt Thurmon and Kevin Bishop.
Kendra is the daughter of Kay Stevenson and Keith Stevenson. She plans to attend Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. Kendra's major is Pre-Physicians Assistant.
Holden is the son of Keith and Marrianne Bruce. He plans to attend Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Holden's major is Agricultural Business.
Dexter will host their high school graduation at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 16th at the Bearcat Event Center.
