
Andrew Michael Albritton, son of Michael and Elizabeth Carroll Albritton of O’Fallon, Missouri was born on October 27, 2009 in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away on March 24, 2014 at the Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 4.
Drew attended pre-school at Zion Harvester Lutheran Church in St. Charles and loved playing with his little sister. He loved trains and heavy equipment, often waiting at the depot or chasing trains with Daddy. He loved dancing and singing, as well as watching Iron Man and Trains on his beloved I-pad. Macaroni and cheese and McDonald’s double cheeseburgers with catsup only were among his favorite foods. He enjoyed snuggling with mommy. He had a huge heart and was courageous and fought his battle with the strength and determination of someone much older.
Besides his parents, Drew is survived by one sister, Caroline Reese Albritton of the home; by his maternal grandparents, Dean and Carolyn Carroll of Dexter; by his paternal grandparents, Emory and Pat Albritton of Kirkwood, Missouri and by three Uncle’s, Clay Carroll, Rob Albritton and Ken Albritton.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 28, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. in the Zion Harvester Lutheran Church Sanctuary with Rev. Mark Rouland officiating.

Verline McCollough, daughter of the late George Granville Ferguson and Ethel Aldred Ferguson was born on April 8, 1924 in Bloomfield and passed away on March 22, 2014 at her residence in Dudley at the age of 89.
Mrs. McCollough was a home-maker and a member of the Sugar Tree General Baptist Church.
On October 18, 1942 she was united in marriage to Howard McCollough in Dexter. Mr. McCollough preceded her in death on May 3, 2011.
She is survived by one son, Howard “Bud” McCollough Jr. and wife Pat of Dudley; by one daughter, Dorothy Tankersley of Wappapello; by one half-brother, Dicky Joe Ferguson; by three sisters, Patty Lynn, Peggy Lynn and Betty Tipton all of Michigan; by eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one son, Delvis McCollough and by two sisters, Gladys Pauline Miller and Jenny Sue Jarrell.

Betty Lou Blevins, daughter of the late George A. Thomas and Myrl Ines Yarrington Thomas was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana on September 2, 1932 and departed this life at Crowley Ridge Care Center, Dexter, Missouri on March 18, 2014 at the age of 81.
Mrs. Blevins was a published Author, the creator of newspaper syndicated column “Poet’s Corner”, was a member of the American Legion Post #293 of Malden, Missouri and was also a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of The Weslyn Church of Pontiac, Michigan and a resident of rural Dexter, Missouri.
She was united in marriage to Orval J. “Dick” Grimes in Detroit, Michigan on October 14, 1947. Mr. Grimes preceded his wife in death on April 4, 1999. She later was united in marriage to Ronnie Edwin Blevins in Powe, Missouri on September 5, 2001. Mr. Blevins survives in their home in Dexter.
Other survivors include three sons, Orval Larry Grimes of Phoenix, Arizona, Rickie Vaughn Grimes of Pontiac, Michigan and Philip Wayne Grimes of Bernie, Missouri; by three daughters, Linda Paulette Grimes Cooper of Dexter, Missouri, Robbin Annette Grimes Mekan of Bernie, Missouri and Bobbi Kathleen Grimes Pierce of Dexter, Missouri; by 15 Grandchildren, 31 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren. Also by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death other than by her parents and her first husband, by two brothers, George R. Thomas and Harold L. Thomas; by three sisters, Helen M. Joppie, Evelyn I. Bailey and Louise Thomas; by one granddaughter, Tammy Lynn Grimes.

Johnie Britt, son of the late Clarence Norman Britt and Mary Caroline Grindstaff Britt was born on April 6, 1935 in Powe, Missouri and departed this life on March 13, 2014 at St. Joseph Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan at the age of 78 years.
Mr. Britt was a former Food Service repairman and a veteran of the United States Army. Johnie was a former resident of Dexter currently residing in Clarkston, Michigan.
On March 13, 1959, he was united in marriage to Doris Adams. Mrs. Britt survives of the home in Clarkston, Michigan.
Besides his wife, other survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff Britt and Patty; one daughter and son-in-law, Jeanette Wode and Brian; one brother, Norman Britt; by four sisters, Laura Franklin, Mary Adams and husband Steve, Shirley McCabe, Helen Wright and husband Steve; four grandchildren, Adam Wode, Patrick Wode, Michael Wode, and Spencer Britt; two step-grandchildren, Candice Kowalski and Robert Dodd; also by three great-grandchildren, Reese Kowalski, Mason, Kowalski, and Skyelar Kowalski.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Leonard Britt; and by two sisters, Loretta Wilcox and Alma Walles.

Graveside service will be at Chalk Bluff Cemetery at 10:00 .m. on Thursday, March 20, 2014.

Mr. Burleson had lived in Dexter & Southeast Missouri most of his life. He had worked in farming all his life.
In November 1961, he was married to Anna Marie Hill in New Madrid, Missouri. she preceded him in death on October 31, 2009.
Surviving are five sons, Glen Burleson of Dudley, Missouri, Earl Burleson and Jimmy Burleson both of Dexter, Missouri, Tommy Burleson of Bernie, Missouri, Randy Burleson of Puxico, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; three brothers, Dave & Hugh Burleson both of Arkansas, Buster Burleson of Malden, Missouri; one sister, Gracie Curtis of Arkansas. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
