Amos Burleson
Amos Burleson, the son of the late Johnny Jackson and Ora Lee Ward Burleson, was born in Warr, Oklahoma on September 16, 1943, and passed away at his home near Dexter, Missouri on March 15, 2014, at the age of 70 years, 5 months and 27 days.

Mr. Burleson had lived in Dexter & Southeast Missouri most of his life. He had worked in farming all his life.

In November 1961, he was married to Anna Marie Hill in New Madrid, Missouri. she preceded him in death on October 31, 2009.

Surviving are five sons, Glen Burleson of Dudley, Missouri, Earl Burleson and Jimmy Burleson both of Dexter, Missouri, Tommy Burleson of Bernie, Missouri, Randy Burleson of Puxico, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; three  brothers, Dave & Hugh Burleson both of Arkansas, Buster Burleson of Malden, Missouri; one sister, Gracie Curtis of Arkansas. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Friends may call on Monday, March 17, 2014, from 12:00 noon to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at 1:00 PM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Kevin Swain of Malden, Missouri officiating.

Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
