Dexter, Missouri- DHS athlete Trevor Waldner returned to Dexter with a State Championship Title in wrestling and was honored in his cadet teaching class.  Mrs. Shannon Putnam's first grade class cheered from their classroom as Trevor took the mat in Columbia.  She incorporated a little math into the lesson plan as well teaching the students counting as he racked up his score against his opponent.


While Trevor was training he couldn't eat many of his favorite foods, so the class decided to treat him to a pizza and chicken Alfredo party.  Trevor brought his medal to school and the students got a chance to pass it around and look at it.  A photo gallery is available on our Facebook page.
