Dexter, Missouri - The opening game of the SCAA Tournament began with the Junior Varsity Bearcats taking the court against the JV Puxico Indians.

The Bearcats did a fantastic job and defeated the Indians 59-33.

Jason Jarrell #11 had a team-high 20 points for the Bearcats.  He hit 7 baskets and was 3/4 from the charity stripe.  Jarrell also sunk one trey.

Addison Moore #34 tallied 12 points and was 4/7 at the charity stripe.  Jacob Pedigo #12  was also in double figures for Dexter. He tallied 11 points.  Alex Whitehead #23 hit one trey for the Bearcats.

Puxico's Chris Siler #23 had the game-high 23 points hitting 8 baskets and was 7 for 7 at the charity stripe.  He was the only Indian in double figures.  Chris Dunivan #50 hit one 3-pointer.

The Dexter JV Bearcats will be back in action on Thursday, January 30th at 5:30 p.m.  Their opponent will be either #1 ranked Advance JV or #8 Richland JV.  That game is schedule for Tuesday evening at 5:30 p.m.
