Bernie, Missouri – What a spectacular Homecoming it was for the Bernie Mules.  They are having an extraordinary season winning 16 games and only 1 loss.  Friday night proved to be another win defeating the Puxico Indians 77 – 40 improving their SCAA standings to 6-0.

The Mules were on in a scoring streak in the 3rd quarter tallying 33 points!

“It was nice to see our offensive outburst in the 3rd quarter,” commented Bernie head coach Brad Botsch, “We’ve been waiting on a flurry like that and are capable of having a big run.  We got some stops and turnovers and put together a nice third quarter.”

B.J. Jennings led the Mules with a game-high 27 points including three treys.  Jake Wagner finished with 14 points including four 3-pointers.  Justin Stanfield also hit a couple of treys.

Puxico’s Garrett Payne recorded 12 points and Austin Teichman added 10 more for the Indians.

“Puxico has improved quite a bit since the first time we played them in the Christmas tournament and we felt it was important not to overlook them tonight,” continued Botsch.  “I felt the kids did a great job of competing and it was really good to see us have such a wide array of players contribute."
