Brother Dale Grissom

Brother Dale Grissom, son of the late James Austin Grissom and Alice Magdalene Conwill Grissom was born on July 11, 1927 in Pontotoc, Mississippi and departed this life on January 7, 2014 at his residence in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 86 years.

Brother Dale was a lifelong resident of Dexter, a minister for Dexter Church of Christ, Veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II, and a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

On August 4, 1946 he was united in marriage to Eulah Richey in Piggott, Arkansas.  Mrs. Grissom survives of the home in Dexter.

Besides his wife, other survivors include one son, Quitman Dale Grissom Jr. and wife Vicki of Memphis, Tennessee; by four daughters, Patricia Adams and husband Tom of Dexter, Deborah North and husband Mark of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Tammy Robinson and husband Dan of Dexter, and Barbara Reid and husband Richard of St. John’s, Florida; ten grandchildren, Daniel North, Tim Adams, Michael Adams, Leah Williams, Josh Robinson, Chris Robinson, Adam Grissom, Andrew Grissom, David Robinson, and Brendan Robinson; also by nine great-grandchildren, Madeline North, Samuel North, Dylan North, Caitlin Williams, Jaxon Dane Robinson, Ian Michael Adams, Skylar Williams, Isabella Adams, and Gabrielle Adams.

Besides his parents, five brothers, and four sisters preceded him in death.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until Noon on Friday, January 10, 2014 at the Dexter Church of Christ.

Funeral services will then be conducted at Noon on Friday  at the Dexter Church of Christ with Brother Jim Faughn and  Brother Travis Quertermous officiating. 

Interment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors.
