Dexter, Missouri - On Saturday, November 30th, the Dexter Lady 'Cats Basketball Team will travel to St. Joseph's Academy, a college preparatory high school sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet in St. Louis to begin their 2013 - 2014 season. With four seniors returning to the court their are great expectations that the girls will repeat their winning season from last year.
Dexter ended their season with a 26 - 5 record placing 4th at the Class 4 Championship games in Columbia. Something they should be very proud to have accomplished. They are the reining District Champs and they also won the Paragould, Arkansas Tournament and Lady Royals Classic last year.
"We look good coming into this year," stated Dexter's head coach Chad Allen. "We have a tough schedule, playing on the road the first 14 games."
There are no juniors on the rosters. Six sophomores and four seniors complete the varsity team according to the press released distributed at the Media Day hosted by the Dexter High School.
Varsity Girls Basketball Roster:

Dexter will host their first home game on January 13, 2014 when the Kennett Lady Indians travel to the Bearcat Event Center. The Lady 'Cats will compete in the Farmington Tournament are the top seed. They play #8 seed Roosevelt High School on December 2nd at 6:00 p.m.
The McDonald's Shootout in Paragould, Arkansas will be held December 12th - 14th with the championship game to be held on the 14th at 4:30 p.m. Brackets will be posted in a later article closer to the tournament.
"The girls definitely want to go back to the state championships," commented Allen. Dexter wont the district title against Notre Dame then beat North County in state sectional play and defeated Rosati-Kain in the state quarterfinals to advance to the final four. "It was a great experience for them."

Jackson, Missouri – The Bearcats were on the road last night traveling to Jackson. The 7th grade T.S. Hill Middle School boys basketball team is having a great season improving their record to 11 – 0. They beat the Jackson Indians by a score of 43 – 34. Way to go Bearcats!
Braxton Foster led the Bearcats with 14 points. Seth Rogers tallied 12 more along with Nate Gargas who scored 11 and Joe Rice who added 6 more points.
Seth Rogers scored the only trey for Dexter.

Unfortunately the 8th grade boys team lost to the Indians by a score of 42 – 30 dropping their record to 9 – 3.
Gabe Jackson led the Bearcats with 11 points along with Kole Kelley who tallied 8 points, Nick Trout who had 7 points and Ben Sindle who added 4 more.

Dexter, Missouri - Way to go 7th grade boys basketball team! You just won your 10th game in a row against the Poplar Bluff Mules. The house was packed full of Bearcat fans. After having a wonderful chili and cinnamon roll dinner hosted by the Jr. Beta Club, fans were ready for some Bearcat action.
Nate Gargas finished in double digits scoring 15 or his 16 points in the first half. He was the highest scoring player between either team.
Dexter led Poplar Bluff by a score of 19 - 13 at the half. Dexter outscored Poplar Bluff in every quarter.
Joe Rice and Braxton Foster scored 9 points for Dexter. Seth Rogers tallied 7 more for the Bearcats.
Nate Gargas and Seth Rogers each had a trey.

Bloomfield, Missouri - Top seeded Dexter 7th graders defeated the #2 seeded Bernie Mules 48 - 19! The boys ran out on the court determined to win and they won big!
Of Bernie's 19 points 6 were treys scored by Weston Zoll and Josh Ellenburg.
Dexter hit three treys in just the first quarter giving them quite an edge over the Mules. Eric Hahn had a great time hitting 3 treys for Dexter. Seth Rogers scored one as well.
Two Bearcats registered double digits. Nate Gargas scored 12 and Braxton Foster tallied 10.
