Roy Yewell Moore

Roy “Bob” Yewell Moore, son of the late Perry Lee Moore and Edna Bell Young Moore, was born on April 30, 1928 in Essex, Missouri and passed away on September 25, 2013 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 85.

 

Mr. Moore was a member of the Dudley Community Church in Dudley, a former employee of the Fram Corporation in Dexter and a resident of Dexter.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean War.


On February 4, 1949, he was united in marriage to Mildred Ilene Parker in Piggott, Arkansas.  Mrs. Moore survives at the home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Twanda Sue Moore of Knob Noster, Missouri; by two brothers, Leoid Moore of Kennett, Missouri and M. C. Moore of Dexter, Missouri; and by one sister, Velma Pierce of Bloomfield, Missouri.


He was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Moore and by one sister, Margrite Darby.


Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.


Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Lynn Ash officiating.


Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
